Yeah, when he's beating himself up in his boss's office and he says "for some reason I thought of my first fight with Tyler" that's the biggest clue the movie gives you before the reveal. I don't think I've ever seen anyone figure it out at that point, though. In my experience most people don't figure it out until somewhere in the sequence where he's flying around to all the cities Tyler has visited finding all the fight clubs that have been set up in them. And of course, the end of that sequence is where the movie flat out tells you what's going on, so I think it's very intentional that the sequence leading up to that is where most people start to realize what's actually been happening.

When I heard that, I thought to myself that he was just referring to when Tyler beat tf out of him outside the bar for the first time. I love how the writers kept it very vague regarding their clues…in a way which kept the audience guessing until the BIG reveal. There were hints scattered throughout the movie but it always made it seem like it was a possibility…and I wasn’t sure if that was what was actually happening

Great film. Great reaction. Film reactions are definitely for you. They show off your brain power more than short song reactions. The strength of “Fight Club” is the writing, based on the book by Chuck Palahniuk. Any book of his chosen at random is an excellent read. Another mindbending film you MUST react to is “Se7en”. David Fincher directed this movie. I'm not normally somebody who pays a lot of attention to directors, there aren't honestly a lot that I love most or all of their work. Most of my favorite movies are by directors who've made good and bad movies, I normally don't seek out movies by specific directors. Fincher is an exception. All of his movies are great, but Se7en might be the best after Fight Club; I'm *very* confident that you'll enjoy Se7en given how much you enjoyed this. "Zodiac" and "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" should probably be on your radar as well. My biggest problem with "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" is that Fincher only got to make the first. It's a book trilogy, and it was adapted into a movie trilogy in Sweden; Fincher made the American version but, for whatever reason, wasn't able to make the 2nd and the 3rd. And the 3rd... my god, the final arc in the 3rd book/movie, the climax is SO FUCKING SATISFYING. Once you've read it, the entire 200 or so pages where the final act is set in motion up until the climax is among the most satisfying I've ever read. Even if you're not a reader, I highly recommend reading that trilogy; hopefully you watch the movie (the Fincher version, IMO, is definitely better) and like it enough to give the books a chance.
@SchulzEricT

You look pretty young, I'm guessing there's a lot of classic, foundational, impactful movies you haven't seen. I don't want to throw, like, 100 at you and overwhelm you with choice, but I *do* want to throw a few out there. My biggest problem is in juggling 1 - narrowing it down so that you aren't overwhelmed while also 2 - having a nice eclectic mix of types of movies. Because I could make a list of a dozen or so movies like Fight Club, that have a similar feel/tone to them, but I imagine you'd prefer to mix it up with other types of movies. So... let's do: 1 - The Princess Bride (on Disney+ if you've got it) Really a virtually perfect movie. Fun, funny, romantic, charming. I've yet to encounter anybody in my life who wasn't charmed and delighted by it 2 - Who Framed Roger Rabbit (also Disney+) I think similarly universally beloved. It's a really incredibly woven story that weaves together cartoons with humans in a Noir/mystery that juggles cartoonish fun with hard-boiled noir mystery elements. Some classic jokes, and an excellent cast headlined by Mario Mario himself, Bob Hoskins 3 - Walk Hard The final movie that I think is essentially perfect. A music biopic with incredible writing and dialogue, fantastic music, and a star-studded cast, headlined by John C Reilly. JCR should've won all the acting awards for Walk Hard; as great as the cast was, the movie sings because he's asked to do so much and pulls it off Those three I think you should give a chance, soon, even if my quick synopsis isn't terribly enticing to you; I'm that confident you'll like them. I'll add 3 more, I think. For these, if my synopsis doesn't intrigue you then maybe you shouldn't watch them, or at least put them on the backburner and see if there's enough of a push from your subscribers that it's worth watching. So far "Fight Club" is the only movie I've seen you watch/react to, so I don't have nearly enough of a feel for what you like and why, what you don't like and why, so while I think you'll enjoy these movies, I'm not nearly as confident as with the other 3. 4 - The Matrix Like Fight Club, an incredibly influential movie in pop culture. Also has some really interesting philosophy, along with great action. The other 2 movies in the trilogy aren't bad - many people will say that they are, but I'd contend that they aren't bad so much as a mess. There's good stuff in "The Matrix Reloaded" and "The Matrix Revolutions", there's interesting philosophical ideas, interesting/cool action sequences, it's just that all the disparate elements don't come together so elegantly in 2 or 3 as they do in 1. Also, one of the most iconic female characters in movie SciFi history; she's on the Mount Rushmore, for sure. With an iconic introduction. 5 - Scott Pilgrim vs the World There are some other movies I was thinking of, but I'm going with this one over those others because it's so very different than the others on the list. I said I normally don't care about directors but Fincher was an exception; Edgar Wright, the director of this movie, is probably the only other one. He has a very unique editing style, he's maybe the only director who makes comedy movies that incorporates comedic editing; his movies aren't funny only because of the dialogue but also because of how it's edited, there are visual gags and sound effects that add to it. I'm not sure Scott Pilgrim vs the World is his best (I'd say it's either this or Hot Fuzz) but it's probably his most unique. Another star-studded cast - a ton of actors I'm sure you'll recognize - and they all seem to be having a blast. It's a really fun, funny movie with so many funny, interesting, clever set pieces, with some really great actors who get to ham it up and be silly... it's based on a comic book but Edgar Wright gave it some video game elements that are really fun. You'll have a blast, I'm very sure. 6 - Seven Days in Hell Nobody seems to have heard of this, so if you're trying to grow your channel I don't think this movie will do anything for you in that respect. And if that doesn't sell you on it, I think you're best off going into it nearly blind, so I want to say very little about why you should watch it, why you'll enjoy it. BUT if you end up watching, and liking, some of the other movies on this list and you trust my judgement enough to give it a shot, that would be lovely. It's a really interesting sports biopic about probably the craziest, definitely the longest, tennis match in history. Even if you don't like sports I think you'll enjoy it. (It's a common misconception in movies, people who don't like sports thinking they won't like sports movies, but sports movies aren't about enjoying watching the sport itself, it's about the *people* involved in the event. Also, sports provides a framework for story-telling in a really easy way, how a tv show about a sports team can be about leading up to the playoffs, with the championship game forming a really natural climax for the season. This movie doesn't do that, but just... my overall point is that sports movies are about people, and teams/relationships, the struggle and either euphoric victory or dealing with defeat with grace.) Anyway... good movie. I hope you give some of my other suggestions a shot, and if you discover we have similar enough tastes, go out on a limb and give "7 Days in Hell" a shot.

In nearly every reaction I've seen, even when someone is smart enough to pick up on what exactly is happening, they are ultimately so confused on the gunshot in the mouth. Fun fact you don't really want to know. Unless the angle is mostly correct you totally miss the brain and end up shooting out your cheek, jaw or other part of face. So unless he lets himself bleed out no he doesn't just instantly die.

I mentioned the movie specifically because of the event but all 6 terminator movies not bad. The last one is still the weakest of the parts, but still a good rating and for the fans of the series anyway. Released from 1984-2019. I just checked again. Said scene in Terminator 2 is, in the cinema version, between minute 33-34. But some reaction videos didn't show the end, for whatever reason. Maybe turned off too early or got it via Patreon, I don't know. Incidentally, there was even a special German TV commercial that was broadcast until shortly before the alleged attacks, showing a plane flying through a skyscraper (animated PC). The Simpsons are known for announcing things that will come later (insiders), as well as what happened later in NY and Trump as US President was first announced in 2000, then something about Trump in 2003 and a year before the planned election victory, even with the same clothing, a scene on the escalator, with the same 2 gestures and in the background a man drops a piece of paper, later exactly the same in real or a picture in the states where later real (manipulated) had won , everything correct except for one state. The Boston Marathon attack was announced in the animated series: Family Guy, in the episode: Turban Cowboy, broadcast two weeks earlier in the USA (later also in Germany). Oh yes, from 1982-1995 there was the 'llluminati card game, on two cards, an attack on the 2 towers and second card the Pentagon and much more on the approx. 500 cards, also Obama and Trump and Assange on cards, numerous events before they arrive..... Nothing is what it seems Regards google or YT or other....: Dr. Judy Wood Where did the Towers go

It's really not that hard to figure out these days that Tyler wasn't real. It seems we're saturated with these types of films now. The ones with a twist. Also in my experience watching it with other people most of them start to figure it out in the scene where Tyler is in the basement and Edward Norton's character is arguing with Marla. The "this conversation is over" line. That should have been a huge giveaway actually. They say it at the same time pretty much.

Top tier reaction. Hope all the comments don't give you too much of an ego boost lmao 🤞Also if possible, do add American Psycho to your list of movies. Yes, it's part of the same *make your brain think crazy* starter pack as Fight Club.

The book is even better. Published in 1996 and written by Chuck Palahniuk. Every novel he writes is a total mind fuck. One of my favorite authors.

07:30 “It’s just things. It’s material things. Don’t worry about it too much.” Speaking as a man who is somewhat attached to his penis, I gotta say that’s a bit hurtful! I realise that’s just how it’s been bobbitted but you don’t seem nearly as concerned for our members as we are.

They kind of give it away way at the beginning when the narrator says "I know because Tyler Durden knows." No one ever catches on though.

I highly recommend watching 'lucky number sleven' it's another film which kinda messes with your head. Granted, it is easier to figure out than 'fight club'. Still it's another great movie. Definitely worth watching. Even if you don't react to it.

Tyler was your Mom's BF. Marla was my GF when this movie came out. I fell for her and her crazy the first time I saw her and have loved her since. It's funny how "We don't need a lot of stupid shit" used to be controversial and now most younger generations have normalized it. Awesome reaction. I'm glad your channel finally popped up in my feed.

The late 90's had a bit of a renaissance of philosophy or "questioning the main character's reality" type of themes. In order of "mainstream" to pure "cinematic art" (but still worth watching before the unoriginal copycat movies of the early 2000's movies kicked in): The Matrix, Total Recall, American Psycho, Donnie Darko, Momento. More modern movies that hit a relatively high level of originality with these types of movies: Inception and Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Of course its all unrealistic. The rates of traumatic brain injury and other permanent damage is very serious in real life. So just suspend disbelief and enjoy the movie. Or you can imagine that it was all just a dream he had in the airplane when he "met" Tyler.

You got the schizophrenic plot twist a lot earlier than most people who've never seen it. Something people don't catch on the first watch through is that before he meets Tyler there are single frames where Tyler is spliced into the movie like what he said that Tyler did with porno in movie theaters.

Fight Club is not one of my favourite movies. Still is interesting. In my opinion is a movie about the toxicity of masculine roll in society and how men got difficulties to deal with their feelings and desires.
