@charlesfriend95573 жыл бұрын
@ Ross Neil. Supercharging is mandatory on this engine, as it creates no crankcase pressure of it"s own. But I expected one large blower myself, rather than five miniis! Awesome build!!!
@creepingjesus51063 жыл бұрын
@@charlesfriend9557 Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Couldn't see where scavenging pressure/vacuum would come from, so it had to be a pressurised case, like Detroits and Napier Deltics etc. Given where the tiny blowers are, it must have isolated oiling for the crank too, like a Detroit. Come to think of it, I admire the sheer bloody mindedness of it! Little two strokes are one of the simplest engine designs ever, and then...🙏

This Czech guys is just awesome. I read an interview with him (I'm also Czech), he explains everything there and he's so humble. For example he chose this bike to modify because he wanted to make his creation road legal, so first thing he did is he studied the laws regarding the modifications of vehicles and found out it goes by the laws of the year the original bike was produced. Which in this case is 1950s. So he is legally allowed to take one part of the bike and modify it - that would be the engine for him. But what he couldn't do is touch anything else - brakes, frame, lights, forget them, they have to be original. I'm glad there are so many people in the comments section praising this guy's achievement because it is honestly a modern day miracle. Bravo Marku, jestli si to přečteš, co jsi dokázal je neskutečný a doufám, že budeš inspirací pro další mladé šikovné lidi, aby se nebáli pokusit se dosáhnout svých snů.

The technical prowess of this young man is very impressive, thank you for posting this. I see he didn't use poppet valves for the intake, so I guess the supercharger blows straight into the intake ports. On a side note: it took me a minute to figure out that by two-star you meant a two-row radial, different languages use different terminology so translation is always tricky. I always tell my students that Italian is not French using Italian words.
@gerrydepp81643 жыл бұрын
I'm only half guessing (I need to see it again) but I think the supercharger is pressurising the entire crankcase/primary compression -couldnt believe my eyes - alien technology - I am in awe...
@CaptHollister3 жыл бұрын
@@gerrydepp8164 I don't think so because in a two-stroke with crankcase induction each cylinder requires an individual crankcase volume that is the same as the cylinder displacement and is sealed off from the other cylinders, this simply doesn't appear to be the case here. Another way to feed a two-stroke is to fit it with a blower and a poppet valve in the head, which is also not the case here. That leaves the third way: a blower that blows into ports near the base of the cylinder, which seems to be what this gentleman did.
@tonym4803 жыл бұрын
