We'll be there in July, but we have done some research and seen that it's very easy to get lost.

yeah, I read all that stuff too. Which is why I didn't venture too far away. I met some Germans there who did venture out- we met up later. they had no issues there's lots of footprints to follow back. Have a GPS route plotted to be safe.
