BitBucket Jenkins Continuous Integration - Webhook & ngrok

Video tutorial to demonstrate Continuous Integration set-up of a BitBucket Repo with Jenkins server which is locally running in a private network, using webhooks & ngrok utility.

Not sure if we understand your question but the usual norm is not use to Jenkins to do any Git Repo writes (definitely not to- merge & purge branches). But if this is your ask, you will have to set up Jenkins with "write" permissions to the Git Repo and then run Git Commands from Jenkins in order to achieve this: >git merge >git push origin --delete Or you can set up another Job to do this clean-up and then invoke it after your Jenkins Job has run. Hi Nice, I am facing issue like Invalid URL if give localhost/8080 to create the webhook.. is there any way to integrate without webhook? I tried to change the localhost to my IP address. I got to know that Bitbucket cloud will talk to only Public IPs.

Hello, For web-hooks to work, your Git Server must be able to locate your Jenkins server over HTTP(S). If this is not the scenario, please try Jenkins SCM Polling option for your job. This option configures your Jenkins Server to periodically check Git Server for any updates and kick-off a build when it notices an update. In case of bitbucket we use "bitbucket-hook" so same what is standard for github?

Hello Sasidhar, Thanks for your question. I am not sure if I understand it right but if you want details of how to create a pair of SSH key that can be used by Jenkins while authenticating with BitBucket in Windows environment, only thing you need to keep in mind is that on Windows box, there can be only one pair of SSH keys (in .ssh directory) for any specific user and this resides in USERHOME directory (C:\Users\Your_ID). To overcome this, just specify a different directory when you create Jenkin users SSH key with the Git command : ssh-keygen -t rsa -C "[e-mail]" Once the keys are created, it is a straightforward process to add these keys using Credentials Plugin and you can look up this tutorial for details : mohitgoyal.co/2017/02/27/configuring-ssh-authentication-between-github-and-jenkins/ Hope this answers your query.
