I just travelled back from the year 2067. Clean water is actually the world currency starting from the year 2052 after "The great pollution disaster" in 2044. Clean water is also being "mined" from rocks underground, much like oil.

@@Bitcoin_XBT21M Bitcoin has absolutely nothing to do with gold. Digital gold is only when physical gold is represented in digital units. You can call bitcoin whatever you like, but it is still just mathematical formula that no one knows who created. Just numbers on the screen that people like to play with.

Blockchain as it is today, value is driven 99% by speculation. It will take many more iterations and a potential major crash before it stabilises into a non volatile digital currency.

@10:37 I disagree, I think What gives it value is Bitcoin is that it is the only digital commodity, but not BTC, unfortunately only bsv is a commodity by definition.

I am often puzzled why some people expect a 10x return on something they call "Store of Value"? Isn't it wrong by definition? If I sell a house and get a coin, years later I can buy the house back with the same coin, it is called Store of Value. But if the same coin can buy multiple houses back later, it is called Ponzi Scheme.

Becoming a good trade takes time and patience. When i first got into trading i was liquidated twice, and lost my entire mortgage deposit. If most of bitcoin remains in the hands of few and wall street the remaining ones are gonna have exponentially high value since they cant print/create more of it

This is a secondary issue. Don't throw out the baby with the bath water. A possible remedy is for anyone to plug a computer into the Internet as a full node. Wealth inequality is largely affected by democracies closing tax loopholes for extreme corporations.

You are right however most people don’t want to take the time to understand why things are the way they are. Every 4 yrs Bitcoin has gone through major pumps and has entered the media so many people on this planet are aware of it.

They say you cannot create btc out of thin air. But its monetary value is created out of thin air Thats whats confusing me?? Maybe cos its still in its infancy Yes by 2042 there will be no more mined coins But the value is linked ti the dollar until it isn't??

Monetary value could be made through thin air by some specicfic holders like central bank they habe authority or power to make it.

Im so confused . Cos they say you cannot have your btc stolen But if its valued against the dollar?? Then every day you hold it , you could lose it If Btc falls from 60000 dollars to 10000 gurss what your 50k poorer So im defo confused Thats without even delving into the 1000s of other crypto coins

Like any currency, it's the confidence in the network. In this case it's a digital network which seems pretty solid. The inventor still has 1/20 of the supply and quantum computers, which could still derail bitcoin but then if the Saudi's will dump all their dollars, then the dollar will collapse. Property is never fully risk free

Volatility corresponds to adoption which is increasing at a faster rate than the internet. Also, volatility is limited to a 4 year cycle and if you zoom out... Bitcoins price has obviously exponentially increased since inception. Over 50% of bitcoins mining energy is now green and increasing. Some mining facilities are now using the heat generated as additional power to power buildings/towns etc. El Salvador's mining is from volcanic energy. Though Bitcoin as a technology is not perfect... it is the first and largest crypto to exist and is now globally known as a store of value and not an everyday payment system that Satoshi meant to create. There really is no competition. It's also out performed Eth this cycle as well. Eth is a dying chain in terms of dominance. Decentralization? Fraud? Bitcoin is trackable on the blockchain.. that is why fiat crime is over 10 times more than crimes committed on the blockchain... you can even see the very first bitcoin transaction on the blockchain and follow that all the way till now. I think I answered most of your concerns here.

@@bradebronson8835 what a out the risks of wallet getting hacked or you forgetting the password and losing your Bitcoins permanently. At some point the government will intervene.
