I think you are dead on with BTC chopping around but I also think you should take into consideration the fact that the end of the year, last week of the year, always had horrible volume and constant outflows due to taxes and other reasons for selling. It is already coming right back up on the first day of the year. Just a thought. Thanks for the data!

I think the US tax reporting regs changes from universal to global per wallet contributed to people selling off for tax harvesting and also realizing all gains and losses on coins they arent holding long term or had minimal gains and losses so they had less work to do tracking the unused basis and taking inventory at 2024 YE
