I see UFO's every night. That doesn't mean or imply that I see "Flying Saucers" all that it means is the I see objects in the sky I can't identify, most are stars, but which star, ergo UNIDENTIFIED. It's only idiots that think everything that they see is an alien spacecraft. I remember reading a story from back in the 50's where an Air Force pilot was able to prove that the Sun was a UFO, by flying through a broken cloud cover.

Okay the comments are full of it, so I try to give a more specific explanation to what David Sacks was bringing for me: -Sacks gave a reality check on some opinions -he had some good points -balanced out the mood, so it is not too positive -he was authentic -he said what was on his mind without much care for the optics of his opinion In essence a temporary replacement would be better suited by someone not overly positive and polished, but someone, who has similar political views, just says them and has experience in tech/investments and gets along with you. The last people are just too positive and careful.

This podcast is great, but the echo chamber sycophancy around Sacks, Musk, etc. is ridiculous. Sacks spent every episode recently spewing his political program, which is not much different from some Fox News hosts. If that's what I wanted, I could just watch Fox. The substitutes at least talk about interesting things, like market predictions, UFOs, etc. Sacks is a very intelligent guy, but he is an idealogue, and not having to hear his one-track-mind political views is refreshing.

It will go away.. just like last time.. during trump's last admin there was a move to stop green-card/citizens-in-waiting spousal work permit to be revoked because the argument was that they are taking skilled jobs. One side lobbied to have it cancelled and one side lobbied to keep it. The court asked the admin to weigh in. The Trump admin said, we don't have enough info and need to gather more info. Basically, he dint take sides because both sides aided his efforts to presidency. The work permit still exists. Today, everyone has forgotten that issue. I certainly want to see triple the amount of vetting for H1Bs and student visas (higher test score requirement) which I think may happen with this admin.. hoping for the best.

@@amandacollyer645 I read up on this and I am of indian origin, but born and bred in the UK. Quite simply it's an arms race between USA, China and India. For the US to stay in the lead, it needs to recruit the best from India, China and other places. People from these countries have skills, but due to cultural upbringing in my opinion, they aren't very commercially adept or good leaders. They aren't significantly smarter either, they've just been battle tested in the academic race more than others around the globe due to size of population (competition) and emphasis on academics. I don't fear them out competing me for a job. In general though I favour competition as it grows the pie through innovation. The NBA is better because Jokic and Wemby are pushing Ant and Tatum to better. Let them come, and let the US continue to win the championship through breaking down barriers while their own countries continue to stifle them. No one is moving to China or India to improve them. If you want to protect yourself, be better at accumulating assets. It ain't easy, but focus on that and stop complaining.

I've been ALL IN since the beginning and have appreciated ALL 4 besties for what they each bring to the table - and often agree or disagree with one or the other. Sacks is a one-of-a-kind...As such, I was skeptical of Gavin at the beginning of this episode as my SWS (Sacks Withdrawal Syndrome) was flaring, but as his comfort level increased throughout this episode, he got better and better… my take by the end, is to give him the chair right now. I've liked a lot of the other guys that they have brought on, but really think this was the best overall balance of knowledge, opinion, energy. I strongly urge everyone to give him a chance because he has such a great mix and balance between all the other guys. No one can replace sacks, but I think the dynamic here adds a great dimensionality to the discussion and my money says that it only gets better and better from here if they bring him on here since the beginning Baker. Regardless of what they do, this is still hands-down, the best business pod out there.

Gavin Baker was kind of a proxy for Sacks, I agree it's hard to fill Sacks shoes but I think he gave a fair shot to this pod. Besties.
