I don’t understand how you’re predicting a recession and also bitcoin dominance to fall when they start cutting rates? If we’re going into recession whilst the fed cuts then markets are going down and BTC dominance would continue to rise. The only way cuts would be favourable to the market is in the event of a soft landing (no recession) or a panic cut because of black swan but there would be loads of pain prior to an alt season in that event and would require rates to basically go to zero after a market crash.

@@bluefish8143 not really, recession is a specific metric of negative GDP growth. That isn’t the case in the US or other major economies. I agree that they cook emoloyment numbers, inflation rates etc. but we definitely haven’t been in recession since 2022.

Ben didn't explain how will likely play out a rate cut and yeld curve uninversion on dominance. Favourable monetary policies = altseason, but rate cut and uninversion means also bear market (recession). Would be nice to have a video on this subject.

Man i follow you since ...I don"t remember exactly when...and believe me i follow a lot of people ( I try to follow mostly the so called bears) and I must say you are genius. When you said in the spring when everything was going up that the alt coins will bottom in august I thought that you are crasy...but since the 5th of august i"m thinking all the time that you are a genius almostt all alt"s went to their bottom. i have to say that if I make some money this cicle it is thakns to you. I’m on the side of belief that btc dominance wil hold its value this time due to ETFs, it’s harder for liquidity to flow out of these ETFs into alts… to gamble.

Alts money won't come from BTC necessarily, that's why pivoting to loosen monetary policy is key, new money being printed and coming to alts at a higher rate than to BTC

BTC dominance doesn't take the USD value of BTC in consideration. If BTC dominance goes down it just means altcoins are gaining more market cap than BTC.

It means altcoin season starts and they will be outgrowing BTC overall (not all of them tho!). When BTC dominance falls, the dominance of the altcoins goes up. Always remember: There's no altseason without BTC rising. If BTC goes down, altcoins follow the same trend.

Ben i agree with your thesis but for some newbs just starting... wouldnt it be just fine for them to buy alt coin whatever that is expected to go up next yr and just make sure they cash out sometime next year.. i think its would be too much for most people to buy bitcoin now and try to time it just right....
