Actually, both 2017 and 2019 had several rejections after breaking the previous ATH. In 2017 it dumped for 3 weeks straight after setting a new ATH and needed 2 whole months to get back above. In 2019 it had a "doji" week after the ATH, kind of like what we had now. So this time is not different after all.

The Vanguard thing is a bit of a yawn. For people knocking Vanguard for not understanding Bitcoin, the reality is that you don't understand the Vanguard model of investment. If you understood the Vanguard model, you would understand that Bitcoin simply does not fit their index fund model. We are all grownups and that is okay.

To be fair it is hard to understand their position. They own RIOT and Marathon BTC mining stock ($600M). They also hold about $2M in MSTR. But somehow they are adamant about not allowing investors to invest in BTC ETF. So no gold no BTC but happy to own things that create them. It’s not so intuitive. I do respect their decision, but it doesn’t really impact me.
