His prediction of the macroeconomy in the next decades and extremely pessimistic view of Bitcoin and the entire crypto asset class, which he believes won’t survive the next decade, will make a very thought-provoking and intellectual debate. It’d be interesting to see someone as data-driven and mathematical as you to speak with a guest who can provide us his insights into the future of crypto from a geopolitical background and his thought on how crypto can or cannot survive during a seemingly imminent recession (considering the crypto asset class has never been through a recession technically.) Feel free to look him up. While it is easy to say Peter Zeihan is a massive “FUDder” and a mindless dollar fanboy, he managed to predict the Russian invasion of Ukraine back in 2014 and provided a lot of thought-provoking predictions based on data of demographics, culture, import/export, trade, and macroeconomics, so I believe his views are valid, and it should be fun to watch Ben and Peter speak

I believe the fear and greed index changes based on market expectation. I think people expect more now than they did back in 2017-2018, especially the retail side that wants to make a 100x in the first 6 months.

seems like the sentiment shows the momentum of the market, implying that if the fear continues we might see another push down to finalize the capitulation (hopefully). I currently betted on a relief rally but maybe I should be more carefull.

I’d rather it just go straight down. Quick pain is better. Slowly bleeding for 9 weeks is brutal with potentially a bounce to then drag down even lower later. Hit 20k and get it over with.

The problem is the F&G is completely arbitrary and reliant on random heuristics by random people who may not be the best to determine which qualities to even quantify or how to quantify them. There's absolutely nothing objective about it any way you look at it. I still like to check it out and get the opinion of those who update it, but I take it with a fraction of a fraction of a grain of salt.
