Currently with btc at 70k it takes 63 million dollars per day to keep up with the inflation rate in a few days it will only need 31.5 million per day to keep bitcoin steady with the inflation 😉

Regarding inovation and protocol, in my opinion one would hope that the drive to innovate on Bitcoin is not led into abandoning Proof Of Work for Proof of Stake. This would lead to ultimate Centralization of Bitcoin and destruction of it as an asset that represents personal and financial freedom. At that point the space becomes just a Blockchain Wall Street Market.

90 basis points is 0.9% right? I guess he is talking (post halving new supply - pre halving new supply) / current stock. Because post halving new supply / pre halving new supply is 50% by design. Problem with the technological dynamism is that BTC can't monopolize it. Current tech is always replaced by new tech. Point? In gold timeframes, technology in total will always reflect a beta state. You can't use perpetual change (beta state) for a store of value. BTC is no more ossified than gold. So there are downsides to that state. But the other state (perpetual tech beta) is even worse and subject to gamification - eth, then solana, then whatever the next tech is. Reduction to another fiat system with price/value discovery eventually being controlled. So, like Sowell suggests, there's no perfect solution; only tradeoffs. You just have to pick the tradeoff that works best for you.

the difference this time is because of allthe ETFs.. once people see pullbacks in the spot price.. people might start selling etfs.. Also.. Governments can't control or regulate bitcoin, but they can regulate / sanction exchanges.. so if you have bitcoin but can never convert it into Fiat, and you aren't using it to buy anything... where's the value?
