I think the bigger concern is the fact that people can't afford the basics. On a Bitcoin standard, people won't struggle to sustain a basic standard of living because everything will be abundant. Wealth disparities won't matter IMO because everyone's needs will be met.

Personally i can see prime real estate being a commodity, but regular family homes and apartments shouldnbe a utility. Renting out beachfront property is different that being a landlord of people who just eant a place to live.

Too many people refinanced or bought their house at the 2 to 3 percent financing and Airbnb is doing pretty well. I don't think those people are selling. Unfortunately the following years , after 2020, people used their homes as piggy banks and got helocs or second mortgages . With job uncertainty coming and already here, for many people I guess they will be working many jobs or refinancing at higher rates. The corporations purchasing homes that drove the price up and disrupted families that wanted to buy homes, and filled residential neighborhoods with renters. I have no idea if they will immediately sell their properties and invest in Bitcoin? I guess time will tell.

Much easier to build a house then to create a new bitcoin. Last year in the US there was 1.41 million homes built. In 2024 there was only 146,000 bitcoin mined. Only a matter of time before you can get 10 homes for 1 bitcoin.

I purchased my first Bitcoin at 105k using all my retirement savings. I’ve kept some liquid funds for emergencies, so I’m prepared. I’m not afraid to hold Bitcoin, even during a bear market. What truly scares me is holding fiat currency-watching it lose value while giving the illusion of monetary growth, all the while eroding purchasing power!
