Oh definitely more of her. Such an interesting artist. Musically and visually. Also she writes all her music alone with her brother, who produces all her music as well. Very rare and hardworking talent.

I see the black liquid as her willingly letting the darkness in, crying it out, and it consuming her or being so much it floods. It is about letting go of a toxic relationship, imo

Billie is sooo great and her videos are SO good - some of my other faves are You Should See Me in a Crown, Bury a Friend, Bellyache, Happier Than Ever, What Was I Made For. She also has a gorgeous live version of I Love You (from SNL) that I'd recommend

One of the best modern artists, imo! Super creative in an era where almost everything is a copy of a copy!
@nayalaa Жыл бұрын
Also just wanna add that your interpretation is very good, imo! I like that Billie is a bit more poetic than just telling a story outright so the lyrics can be interpreted in many different ways, like the “Call me friend but keep me closer” being a possible reference to the Godfather and saying she’s an enemy, while also being a line about being friends with someone you’re in love with. Great reaction! If you react to more Billie, be prepared for some sadness, lol.

She did the theme song for the new bond film too and that one is also great (no time to die). Lonely is one of my favorites. Or the acoustic cover of her song copycat she did with her brother is great too

Some of my favourite music videos for Billie Ellish is 'All good girls go to hell', 'Bury a friend', and 'Lovely', if you haven't seen them you should absolutely check them out =)

The great part of Billie's music, as she says herself, all of her songs mean different things to different people. I've always interpreted the black liquid as toxic love that she's trying to take in so that the other person doesn't have to. But then it completely overcomes her. She has so, so many good songs. And definitely listen to her singing live. She's amazing. My suggestion for that would the Bond theme she wrote and she performs it at the Brit Awards. One other thing that you'll learn is that she produces all her music with her brother, Finneas (he has his own music out too), so if you see someone harmonizing with her or playing piano/guitar, that's her brother.

I think alot of people miss read the second line. "I've learned to lose. You can't afford too. " Tells me she's lost someone very important who can't afford to lose anything at this point of they're career. So she is taking the hit basically and leaving the relationship. "Torn my shirt to stop you bleeding. But nothing ever stops you leaving." Desperate to hang onto it but knows it has to end. Quiet when I'm coming home and I'm on my own." Depressed that it's over and she's alone now. "I could lie, say I like it like that". Telling friends, family, press, that she's ok with being alone when she's literally crying out the depression that has consumed her.

Wow didn't know you had a music reaction channel too. yay! Yes the tears are real (Billie rarely does CGI in her videos, at least the ones SHE directs). There's a making of video for this video. The only CGI in the video was them editing out the tubes that were going over her forehead to the inner corners of her eyes where the tears were coming out. And while she didn't fully drink the black drink as it was going into a glass via a tube to two people below and behind her (which was also edited out), some of it DID get into her mouth and she said it was one of the nastiest stuff she had ever had in her mouth up to that point. I forget all that was in it but part of it was charcoal water. The black drink represents all the toxicity in the relationship. She's taking it in willingly but it quickly overwhelms her and begins to pour out through her tears. Billie is great for disturbing imagery. There are far too many incredible songs to list them all. Honestly I'd suggest you start from the beginning and work your way up, starting with her first "Ocean Eyes," which her brother wrote initially for him to sing but realized it was better for her. She was still quite young when she did this one (still a minor) and has been growing as she went, but brilliant at any age. Don't let people convince you that all she does is sing and her brother writes and produces all her music. I honestly think it's more comfortable for people to believe that so they don't think she really had SO much talent at such a young age. Both her and her brother have frequently said that both of them together produce nearly all of the music, though sometimes it's just him and sometimes it's just her. Likewise she writes some of the lyrics, he writes others and often they are written together. Glad you have subtitles on. It can be really hard to understand lyrics on the first listen of a song. 🙂

Hi. Were you involved in the video making or did you learn about the 'how' via KZbin? I'm a behind-the-scenes movie geek and would love to watch how it was all done. A link or a nudge in the general direction of how to find it would make my day - if it's possible.🖖

So pretty much the balck liquid represents her strong feelings and emotions and as she’s drinking it it represents her pushing her feelings down and when she starts to cry the liquid it represents her feelings seeping out of her

Billie Eilish is a great artist, and Bad Guy is really an oddity in her music. Her videos are often great, very interesting imagery. Bury a Friend is probably the most interesting reaction; in that is is a very distinct vibe.

With the drink: she chose to take in something toxic and is overflowing, so she's crying it out but ends up bleeding out.

I love Billie Eilish. She's fun and creative, sometimes dark sometimes sarcastic. Just a whole vibe. Bury a Friend is my favorite. You thought this video had horror movie vibes? Watch that video. It's so creepy. All the Good Girls Go to Hell also has creepy vibes. Bellyache Therefore I Am Ocean Eyes Lost Cause Your Power I love all of the behind the scenes videos and extras/interviews I've seen of her as well. She seems like she genuinely enjoys making music and entertaining people, and she has fun doing it.

I haven't listened to most of Billie's discography, but I've enjoyed all the songs I've heard. Especially the softer, more melancholic ones like this one. "Lovely" is another great one in a similar vein, and I also really like "Bellyache" which is a bit more energetic and fun. If you're looking for recommendations I hope you check out Aurora, my favourite musical artist. She's incredibly unique, her music is beautiful, and she's hilarious in interviews etc. I think you'd really like her :)

The liquid is charcoal water and Xanthan gum and she had to drink a few swallows of it. And no special effects, there are tubes taped under her eyes and they pumped the stuff through it, causing some pain. The video is based on a drawing of her from a fan with black eyes and black liquid coming from them. I agree with the suggestion to listen to the Pentatonix version of this, one of the songs they recorded from their homes during the 2020 Covid lockdown.

Have you ever drank down the wrong pipe and then spit your drink and it came out your nose. Or have you seen the video of the girl who can drink milk and then spit it out of her tearduct? What's going on here she takes a large gulp in her mouth and then pushes her tongue to the roof of her mouth shoving the drink up into the sinus... And then she has the ability to let it drain out her tearduct.
