Yes I remember you saying that you’ve moved house, you’ll catch up eventually, it’s hard work when you move, trying to organise everything. It’s a lot safer to go up those ladders rather than some step ladders. Worth investing in if your hubby will do. Thank you as always for watching ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Lynn what a mess about with the ladder, i don't think things have been the same since covid (in every way ) , some good bargains at tesco . I've noticed that recently the makeup wipes don't remove eye makeup/ mascara, but i bought a cleansing cream from Aldi and that does it better, good buy with the jacket ,have a lovely weekend ❤❤❤

Morning Lynn, lovely video ❤. We had a sturdy loft ladder fitted a few years ago with grab rails, it makes a huge difference and so much safer. Our ceilings are 10 ft high so it's a big drop if you fall! Have a lovely time with Ida, and enjoy your weekend ❤

What a carry on Lynn!!!! Far better idea, at least you will feel safe. I think probably it is the road what causes the noise issue, but then I have never had a problem, just assumed it was outside noises. Yes, Harvey did it all with me as labourer, thankfully he can do anything, we usually get someone in to do the electrics, but that’s about it. It’s been very hard work but very satisfying. Thank you so much, we love it. ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Lynn, that's a nifty little step ladder up to the loft. In my house we have a very small opening in the loft. I always catch my back when coming back down. Sometimes when we have the gas service and the gas man has to go up in the loft, I'm forever apologising as I don't know why but the gas men they send to my house are like amazon's. Always about 7ft tall and massively overweight 😂 They barely get in. Thank you for your video xxx

Good morning Lynn, my what a time waiting on that loft ladder. Looks a lot safer than an ordinary one, grab rails are a great idea. I've never had a problem hearing you when driving! I've got a magnetic phone holder in the car and it's fab. I must admit the American biscuits and gravy never appealed to me 🤢 I suppose it's what you're used to. Hi Sandra, yes we’re happy with it now after the palava. I was going to try the phone holder this morning, alas it was still dark lol, so I’ll try on the way home. Omg we were laughing at the sausage gravy, we both just looked at each other and said I don’t like it hahaha. You can’t win them all I suppose. I’ve been looking on the Roman site to try and find enough for a haul, but I keep getting distracted lol. Yes he’s really good, I’m glad we don’t have to pay anyone to do these things. Hiya Lynn! I love lofts for the storage but with my new house it’s a new build and so the loft is bedrooms! I’m glad to be honest as I couldn’t get up and down there but I love your new loft stairs, your Tesco shop always seems quite expensive for what you buy but that’s just cost of living I shop where ever I feel like opting more M and d but I feel I’d rather pay more for better food but I do love Tescos as it’s got lots of treaty bits!! ❤🎉

Well if I had a choice, I’d pick a bedroom over a loft lol. The ladder will certainly make it easier to get up there. The only place I see a cheaper shop is in Aldi, but for some reason I just prefer Tesco. I must be more open to shopping around. Aldi and Tesco are more or less opposite each other, so I have no excuse really. ❤️❤️❤️

@ I mean it’s all about preference of shopping if you know you like more food items found in Tesco then you’ll shop at Tesco I was like that when I was younger but now I shop around as I no longer have any attachments to any 1 shop! Always love a food shop love the jacket too. Make sure you click the ladders to lock I have similar ladders but when I get up there I'm in the eves and have sit down and the crawl on my knees to stand up that's the problem my knees have had their day 😂 have a lovely weekend 🌹🐈Xxxx

Hi Lynn, the loft ladder will definitely be safer than a step ladder. They look very sturdy. Our loft ladder came with hand rails which come halfway down the ladder. Hi Lynn, your loft ladder looks really good. Your Harvey seems to be able to do anything! You are lucky. I have the same sort of collapsible ladder for general use, and because you can get them in the car boot easily etc so very useful. With regard to the shelves in the loft. I watched a KZbin Fix it with Fowler and he was fitting shelves to the roof trusses as extra storage off the roof insulation. He did advise to only put lightweight items on the shelving as the roof trusses were not designed to be weigh bearing (Harvey will know that though). I went to the my local WI meeting last night and we were voting on the National Resolutions for the annual meeting. One of the choices was to repair/recycle clothing to avoid land fill etc and I thought of you and the Tesco bins. I mentioned that I had watched your channel and a viewer had commented about the collections when contents were ruined due to other items put in the bins (you mentioned nappies etc). One of the WI members did voluntary work at a charity shop and she said we would be amazed at the state of some donations, including worn men’s underpants and dirty clothes etc. resulting in the bags being thrown away. Shocking! The jacket you bought looked very comfy and warm. I noticed Tina had a coat from the M&as outlet when you were shopping with her. You will have had a great catch-up. Thanks for filming your few days.

Hi Hazel, yes he’s very good, a joiner by trade but he’s built houses from scratch so he’s a good all rounder really. Yes Harvey knows all about that kind of thing, he put the roof on this house so he’ll only allow what’s safe. I’m utterly disgusted at the behaviour of some people, I mean to say, we are trying to help the less fortunate by either donating or volunteering in the charity shops, and some people just dump rubbish on the poor ladies that have sort through it all. What on earth are these people thinking. Ive heard so many terrible stories recently, it’s so very sad that there are so many vile human beings in this world. It won’t deter me from donating, I will just be more aware of where I donate. Yes Tina saw a coat that she wanted in M&S but they didn’t have her size, and then lo and behold they had one in the outlet, she was so thrilled to find it. Good morning Lynn, The loft ladder is a brilliant addition to get in and out of the loft space. I have one and it’s the best thing we ever installed, makes things a lot less effortless. I agree with you about the biscuits and gravy. Biscuits are lovely, gravy not so 😮. To get makeup off my eyes Lynn, I use a cleansing balm , they’re like a greasy balm and it literally melts the make up off. So I rub it all in and then wash off twice with a flannel and it works a treat , just incase your wipes don’t work. I hope you have a lovely weekend and a happy day with little Ida , take care. ❤

Hi Claire, nice to see you as always. It was a pain getting the step ladders, but now all the rubbish has been cleared it a good place to store some things, and such easy access. Oh did you try he sausage gravy, yuk, we both looked at each other and started laughing haha, it doesn’t even look appetising. Never mind, we tried it. I have that cleansing balm from Superdrug, but it still took me a while to get the mascara off completely, it may be my mascara, but it was even hard to get the primeprometics off. Fingers crossed the wipes will help, I may use the balm, then wipe it off with the wipes. We’re playing supermarkets lol. Love it. Have a lovely weekend xx❤️

Glad you like them Alison. We thought about making the access bigger, but we’ve done so much work, still in the middle of loads, and more yet to do, so we decided to leave well alone lol. You get jaded sometimes. I’ll be able to get that down no problem, I may have to stand on something to reach the lock to open the hatch, but once that’s done, I’ll be able to manage it from there. I keep saying that one day it will be finished, one day lol 🤦🏼‍♀️❤️❤️❤️

Well it’s smoked basa Janet so it’s very tasty already. I cook it in a shallow frying pan sat in some milk, with salt and pepper for about 15mins on a small simmer. It’s lovely with new potatoes and veg, a little butter on the potatoes yummy ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Lynn well done with the loft clear out we did ours about 5 yrs ago and included in the junk were 3 artificial Xmas trees. Loft ladders are definitely safer than steps albeit I am still not safe to use it. I have been drinking the Gut Feel but I think that the biggest difference to my IBS improvement has been the All Bran which I have been having for brunch with Almond Milk and prunes for about 10 days now. Let us know how you get on with the wipes. Love the jacket really suits you ❤

3 trees lol, it’s surprising what we find when we do a declutter lol. All branches works for keeping me regular, but the gut feel definitely works n other ways so I’ll keep going with it for the time being. I’m not keen on prunes otherwise I would try them. Good job with the loft ladder definitely safer than ladders. If I’m honest I aways fast forward car vlogs I find them noisy and a bit distracting somehow. I’d rather the car chat but that’s just me. ❤x

Morning lovely Lynn 🌻 we've just sold a loft ladder for 40 pounds but it was an old one my husband and our daughters partner have just put a staircase in the people who were supposed to be doing it let us down so he's very handy anyway but they have done an amazing job it already had heating and electric up there so just needed decorating and carpeting our son is going to be up there is so big aswel my husband is a decorator so got that done , love your coat very nice 😊 hope you have fun with Ida I'm just going to get ready to go out with my sister as usual off shopping 😂 again take care and lots of love Lynn ❤️💐❤️😘 xxxxx

I agree standards have definitely slipped and people seem to have to accept them, very frustrating for the consumer. What ever happened to the philosophy “the customer is always right”. Love the jacket, something like that is exactly what I’m after too as a lot of my long coats are too bulky in the car as I have short legs so need to have the seat well forward. I don’t mind going into the loft it’s the stepping back out that makes me nervous. Is your loft not fully boarded out? ❤

Oh Sandra, I sometimes feel like ima nuisance in shops, like they just can’t be bothered to serve us even, and if you ask a question, it’s like you’re an alien lol. You might find the jacket if you google it. No the loft isn’t boarded out yet, we’re replacing the insulation, but once that’s done it’ll have boards down the centre where you can stoop along or crawl ❤️❤️❤️

Morning Lynn. When I downsized to a more modern house I was delighted to see there was an amazing loft ladder fitted and that the loft was boarded out. Oh dear! It has made it far too easy for me to say I shall just nip something up to the loft and sort out later! My son has christened my loft as Auntie Wainwright’s! Have to be a certain age to remember that! Your almond and cherry cookies sound very tasty but I have exhausted my inner baking goddess making things for the “girls” coming round this afternoon. Tony is delighted as it means cake for him too. I try not to bake because - well, you know why! Now for a quick flick with a duster to make everyone think I reach this level I’d domestic bliss so very effortlessly. Alas, these are my friends so they know me better! Oh well!xx Liz

O gosh thars very upright when its down. A different angle would be better. Ours is at more of an incline. We had a man fit it from an ad in a local magazine. So much better than strpladders

We’re restricted as to the size because of the access. It’s the only one that would fit other than making the access bigger, and who needs to make a job bigger than it needs to be, it’s very safe, so we’ll be fine. As you say much better than stepladders..

Hiya Lynn, do you know what....it seems to be everything where no one pays attention to the job in hand. An example of this was, this week my husband had to go for a pre-op check for a cataract....FIVE minutes before we were due to set off down the motorway, they rang to say it was cancelled! After much messing about we rebooked for day after, but I had to ring as I was ill with a virus. The girl who had rebooked it had only booked us TWICE on the same day....no wonder folk can't get appointments with such incompetence....either they don't train them and leave them to flounder or equally incompetent people are employing them. Thirty years ago you'd have had verbal warnings for this and if a phone wasn't answered within 8 rings, again you'd be answerable....it's as if some people have no pride in anything. Another example happened this week where a friend of mine closed her bank account due to the ignorant disrespectful way she was spoken to by a 30+ male cashier in a very well known bank....the Manager arranged for a huge bouquet to be sent to her house with a grovelling apology....who on Earth allows this behaviour, because having pride in your work makes people feel better in themselves and if they're not happy in their job find another, multiple times if necessary....ok rant over 😊
