Love this! Such a great idea to use the back side of a canvas to create your own "box" and add depth! To me this means society's concept of beauty and how most women are held "hostage" because of it, feeling as if we must conform because everyone is looking and judging us. I want to break free and the "broken bars" indicate that it's possible!

Thank you Vonalda for your great feedback and your inspired interpretation. I am with you : ) We came a long way and we still have a long way to go.

I like these challenges very much. I find it so exciting to see what each of the participants do, with the elements that she has. Your 3D elements are wonderful, even the old book pages at the edge of the frame. The woman on the left and this eye - everything fits great. ❤👍 LG vom Tinchen

Danke Dir Tinchen. The frame called for something 3D and I am glad you like the final result. I think it's funny that both Andrea and I picked the eye and framed it with teeth/pipes LOL...This is not the 1st time this happened. Thanks so much Tina for enjoying my videos. I so appreciate it. : )

Hi Ina, I thought I had already commented on this video, but that was only in my head I'm afraid :-) What a great canvas, and so clever to use the back side. Andrea and you have different styles but your thoughts are more or less the same...the eye behind bars and abstract elements. Great to see you both work together again! Creative and beautiful, thanks Ina!

Welcome and thank you Mieke. I always joke with Andrea, that our german genes must have some artistic connection LOL I too enjoy working with her and I am sure we'll do more stuff together in the future. So happy you enjoyed this one. : )

I love the collaborative challenge idea. Sometimes we are isolated in our studios and can benefit from outside input! Interesting that you used the reverse side of the canvas creating a natural frame. I don't know that I would have thought of that. The final product is quite handsome.

This is awesome! When you started this project, did you know this was going to be the end result, or did it just kind of evolve on its own? The idea of using the reverse side of the canvas is totally awesome!
@InaSolsberyartroom6 жыл бұрын
Ha...well... you may have noticed that when decorating the background I left the right side initially blank as I had toyed with the idea of creating a booklet of some type with the brochure ..as the frame definitely called for something 3 D. Then I had the pipe idea...so it did all evolve , That's usually the way it works with me. Thanks so much Anne for enjoying my project. PS I saw your friend request on FB. I just recently minimized my account to family and a few old friends only and I send everyone else to my FB Art page. I believe you are already there and that's a great way to stay in touch. I post rarely on my regular FB and have none of my art there. I hope you understand. I appreciate all your kindness and support Anne. : )

Wow, not very dissimilar, we both used the eye as the focal point and framed it with, yes, lets call it "teeth" . Your canvas turn out so fantastic, I love the bars so very much. Ok, you could say you put your beast behind bars, I surrounded it with teeth. I thank you for working with me, it`s always a pleasure and a lot of fun.
@InaSolsberyartroom6 жыл бұрын
Ha..yup and this is not the first time it happened. It is either our artistic leaning or our german genes, LOL Thanks for enjoying the canvas...it really called for something 3D. Thanks to you too for working together again. Always a good experience., which calls to be repeated. The pleasure is all mine Andrea, : )
