Hi guys! I'm having trouble getting back to all of your comments (seriously, overwhelmed by your sweet responses) so I just want to say thank you right here! Just to clarify about me feeling "meaningless," more than about the virus/quarantine, I was speaking about what's happening back in America and now all over the world with the BLM movement. I really want to be able to do more than just donate and spread links/info, but that's all I seem to be able to do here in Korea. If you've been to a protest or shared your voice in-person in anyway, thank you. I wish I was standing up with you. That's why the whole ~going to get a smoothie bowl~ seems so stupid while my friends are literally being hit with rubber bullets and an in-fathomable amount of crimes against the Black community are still being ignored by law enforcement (Breonna Taylor's murderers are still cops) I get the message that my vids can be an escape or recharge from what's going on so I'll keep making them but I just still feel a little odd living while others are risking their lives. I don't know, rambling as usual but really thank you - I'm here to stay don't worry! I hope me bringing a moment of escapism to those who are on the ground still marching can be my small contribution to the cause.

Hey! I've been following you on IG as well, and I know you've been vocal about donating on there - I think another way to help with video ~malaise~ might be to either steer people towards foundations/organizations/individuals who are involved with BLM, or even using the video adsense towards donating to those causes. Another thing I'd be interested in is seeing in are BIPOC shops/cafes in Korea!

i know i’m late to this comment but i feel the exact same way and i even live in austin texas. i only donated and didn’t go protest bc i always had work but i felt so mad that i couldn’t bc i felt like i wasn’t ~really~ doing something but i promise u even just talking about is doing something so don’t beat urself up over it :) i had to learn that too

Hi Cari, I just wanted to tell you how much your vlogs have helped me recently. Prior to watching your videos, I had always been anxious to do things on my own, and I would often not go to places even if I rlly wanted to because my friends would be busy with school, work, etc. I regret that so much now especially since quarantine has made me unable to go out to these places. I love these vlogs because you show how much fun it can be to go out and do things on your own, and even how liberating it can be bc you’re only doing what you want to do. Anyways I’m rambling now but you’re so inspiring and I can’t wait to take this new mindset w me for the future ☺️❤️

(The reason why military planes are often seen is because the air force airfield is nearby.) Wow~!! The Olympic Park is my most favorite place in Korea. I used to hang out there with my friends when I was in School. Even after I got married, I often took my child for a walk there. This video reminds me of my childhood. My goal is to move back to the neighborhood and live there but the price of house near there is too high. Anyway, thank you for the uploading the video.

I've just moved states here in Australia and so I don't know anyone where I live and we've been in lockdown basically since we moved. It's only in the last week or so that things are really opening up again. I've been trying to 'meet' local people online but nothing is the same as interacting in person...even for us introverts! Don't under-rate how valuable your videos are to others because just seeing other places through your eyes is a breath of fresh air when I've basically been in my apartment day in day out for most of the week. It's also winter here so horizontal rain has also kept me indoors. When my partner is home on the weekends we do go out for walks in the bush but your videos make me feel like I am travelling more broadly. I hope so much to visit Korea. Everything that comes through your camera is new to my eyes even though you see it every day.

And seeing food that I would like to eat but can't is painful but also mentally satisfying (pretending I can eat it). ahhaah! I hope you get to make some face to face new people soon, even if it's just strangers (being introvert), I guess a smiling face/hello of a stranger makes a difference. 😊

It's just Wednesday but I'm already tired of this week, and these 23 minutes spent with you bring me so much joy and inspiration to keep on going. Your vlog is the remedy for my homesickness. It’s been 20 years since I left Korea and I might not go back for good since now I have my family here in the states. Your videos give me so much comforts and it feels like i’m there with you. Yes, there are bigger things happening in the world. But our lives are made with these little moments and we will take them with us when we leave this world. Please find comfort in the fact that there is a woman in the states feeling happy by watching your vlog. Totally meaningful!!

You know, I totally understand what your saying. I have had a lot different feelings these last months also. But I hope you take some comfort in knowing that the clips of those roses and poppies and other beautiful landscapes or just seeing something different than what I have to see everyday is actually quite uplifting! Watching you go get a smoothie bowl, and all the other fun, mundane things you do, has helped me stay sane and keep my anxiety in check over the past few months. That is important and very much needed in times like these. Thank you 😌

Thank you for your videos. We save all our KZbin videos for the weekend so that we can get through these hard weeks. Your video is usually the first one we watch. You are so calming and the places you visit are so serene. It’s wonderful to see that there are places that are still beautiful. And that there is still a world existing outside of our small area. As a Canadian viewer it’s really nice to be pulled away from what is going on in our country and the US, even just for a few minutes. These days are so difficult and so draining. We can’t serve from an empty vessel, and videos like yours fill us up with hope and joy and beauty so that we can continue in fighting for a better world. So thank you.

Your feelings are so valid. I know I've commented something like this before, but your videos have honestly been helping me get by because I'm strictly socially distancing and haven't had any other human interaction (other than my family) in over three months. Your content is really meaningful to me and I truly thank you for being so vulnerable and open.

What you do is not meaningless. Your vlogs always make me smile and remind me of the simple joys in life. They are a lovely little escape during these trying times. I lost my job as a graphic designer a week and a half ago, thanks to covid-19 and I thought that now that I have all this free time that I would spend it making art and illustrations to build a portfolio of the kind of work I really want to do... but so far I haven't felt motivated to do anything. Maybe we just need to be a little kinder to ourselves and take things slow. You should feel proud of yourself. I love your content. Please don't stop. Thank you so much for sharing your version of Seoul with us. We had a trip to Seoul completely planned and payed for when the virus hit and had to cancel. We go to Seoul twice a year to partake in the beauty and thank god that you are posting things that we really wanted to see this time. We all are helpless against all the craziness, especially in the US, so I find it comforting to see Korea, shinning through to show us how our lives can be, at least some of the time, imbued with simple beauty. We were laughing when you said in your video that this was a "lazy time" for you. Ha, ha ha!! Please continue with your lazy life! We love it.

Hi Cari! Thanks so much for uploading your videos. I know a lot of people have also commented the same already, but they are very helpful! I've had several trips cancelled the past few months and your videos help me "travel" all the same. You always capture such beautiful, tiny pockets full of life! Raindrops on the bus window? Brought me so much peace. I think sometimes we feel so small when the world feels too big for us, but our little daily moments and routines hold so much meaning. Thank you for sharing your feelings -- you are definitely not alone. You are very creative and have showed us so much fun art and projects! I bet the next big one is right around the corner :)

I just recently discovered this chanel and I love it. Im stuck in my NYC apartment working crazy hours and your content is like the window to the world to me! Thank you for letting us peek into your daily life, when your are grabbing coffee, getting smoothie bowl, and all these things that you think are meaningless. That's what a lot of people, cut out from friends and families, need these days - a virtual friend :)

I get where you're coming from. . I feel silly about a lot of things these days too and feel too much and am worried about everything. But your videos help me calm down and just be for a minute so don't feel like what you're doing is insignificant juat because there is a crisis going on right now. You are helping people like me a whole lot with just showing us that life goes on. And I want to thank you for that💕

Cari, i just wanna say that your videos are not meaningless at all ! I live in Brazil and right now the situation in my country when it comes to the pandemic it’s not really good. it really makes me happy to see that at least, in some parts of the world, people are living their lives and going out. watching you getting back to normal makes me believe that it’s not the end of the world, everything will pass and very soon i’ll be out getting a smoothie ball too!

Hi Cari! I just wanted to say that your videos bring me a lot of comfort and joy. I feel like I really needed to hear that last bit in today’s video about not being alone. Thank you so much for that ❤️ You’re not alone either. I just want to let you know that you’ve been a positive figure in my life ever since I found your channel. I hope that reading this makes your day a bit brighter 😊

To echo the many comments, watching you do simple things like get a smoothie bowl has been so nice for me. Lockdown and rules have not been loosened too much where I am, so having you "take us places" has been something to look forward to. And, even if we weren't in Covid times, I'd still find your videos a treat. 😌 Thank you, Cari! Much love from Canada xoxo

Your vlog is something and it means something to everyone who watches. My father passed away from the covid virus and watching and listening to you reminds me of my trips to Korea and good times. There is a comfort there when you take us along for your day or week and some of us can escape for a little bit. Thanks for what you do.

I really resonated with you at the end of your video Cari. Your videos are far from meaningless. I'm sure I can speak for many of us who watch your channel when I say that you have truly been a beacon of hope in these confusing and unsettling times. You provide us all with a sense of escapism whilst we're all trying to figure out how to cope with our feelings as well as making the world a better place. Keep doing what you're doing Cari. You are certainly not alone. I want to thank you personally for letting me live vicariously through your videos whilst I (impatiently) wait for the lockdown to be released here in the UK. You have helped me through some of my darkest days. You have inspired me to make more plans for the future and venture out into the world - Seoul is now certainly on my list of places to visit. Oh, and great movie choice :) I saw it when it released and it gave me a feeling of pure nostalgia and comfort :) Thank you again Cari.

Hello! I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and they have helped me a lot to relax and find a little space of peace during this time, I can totally relate to what you were talking about at the end of the video, I think it’s very hard for everyone to find a healthy balance between our daily routines and everything else happening in the world currently. I decided to start a KZbin channel during quarantine just to put my time into something and lately it has become harder to find the drive to actually sit down and create new videos, that’s why I’m very thankful that you continue uploading your vlogs and putting the effort to share them with us and give us this relaxing and fun little window of time. As you said you’re not alone in what you’re feeling, thank you for opening up to us and make us feel a little less alone as well, lots of love!

Cari! Your vlogs have been such a source of comfort and hope and *life* this period... I cannot express how good they have been to watch especially because my country's just coming out of quarantine today, it's been really nice seeing life outside of my window even if it's through your eyes instead of my own. Can't wait to be able to travel again and to hopefully be able to walk the same paths you've taken us down but for now, I am so thankful for your vlogs! :")

Cari, your videos mean so much to me and they give me so much joy!! You inspire me to enjoy the little things in life and to stop for awhile and appreciate all the world has to offer, and that’s so important right now. I totally feel the “everything is pointless” feeling. Life is exhausting and confusing but when it comes down to it, it’s beautiful-and you remind me of that!! so thank you for your joy and your realness, it truly brightens my day and grounds me. :) thank you thank you for being you🧡

north korea situation is probably why there were so many military planes overhead oddly reassuring that they were preparing way before it happened also, what you're doing is provides a much needed reminder of what is 'normal' during chaotic times (abroad) cities are burning, economies are imploding, and there's still a raging pandemic - we need your calming content more than ever!

I got very touched and surprised by your words at the end. I was thinking how much I was envying your life while I was watching the video because I’m currently struggling to go live abroad in Korea and I’m also feeling very lost and worried about my near futur. But when you explained your thoughts and feelings at the end of the video it just reminded me that people that show their life on internet don’t have a perfect life and that being jealous of someone’s life is always stupid because everyone fights battles. Thank you for sharing your feelings it helped, really. Loved your poetic video as always. xx

Cari I'm really glad that you're still continuing to make videos during these super stressful times. It's really cathartic to see you go about your daily life, I really enjoy these vlogs. Even more so since cases of coivd are still on the rise here in San Diego. I appreciate that you addressed things are stressful at the moment, I think it's important not to ignore what's happening and carrying on as if nothing is out of the ordinary. I hope you recover quickly, keep on keeping on :)

It took me 8 sittings to finish this video (love long vlogs, just chasing my toddler around) and I just want to say, your videos bring a lot of joy and I understand the feelings. I had to work through the whole quarantine thing here in the states and whenever you posted a video it always hit when I was in a dark place and needed just a quick break to help me breath and refocus! They might feel small but your vlogs are sooooo beautiful and help some of us get out of the darkness for a bit. You’re great and I love your videos!
