@Dgoc8135 жыл бұрын
It’s so fucking powerful how Kanye spends four of his five minutes making us connect with HIM, getting into HIS frame of mind and HIS struggles with the relationship until the very end. Then everything he’s said is ripped away and we see things from the outside in - it’s such an emotionally jarring experience, connecting with Kanye for most of the poem and then needing to re-evaluate everything when we get the other side of the story. I’ve been watching this performance for years and it still manages to hit me every time

Im a kanye fan, but im more late registration kanye, i dont fuck with his new shit.
@Jamesharveycomics10 жыл бұрын
If 'selling out' means, as I think it does, to compromise one's artistic integrity for financial gain, then Kanye has never sold out. He's made a lot of money, sure, but he's never compromised his vision as an artist. Everything he does is a totally pure projection of who he is and he won't let any corporation dictate the type of music he makes. Hence, he could never be called a sellout.
