You can iron the papers too to give the sheets a more hotpressed looking finish. You just need to use another thin sheet of paper over the handmade sheet. I use a sheet of newsprint.

Little tip from somebody who was court-ordered to make paper and talk about my feelings every day for four months... Use a chamois cloth instead of the shop towels. no need to sponge and gives a more uniform finish.

This is stunning. I'm quite impressed. You are a very creative young woman. I made paper about 30 years ago just for fun with all homemade items for my deckle and everything. I want to start again to use it in my junk journals. Thank your for you always creative mind.

I was watching a tv science special once on paper making. It seems that elephant dung makes great paper. Would be a fun experiment if you have a zoo nearby. Because the fiber fully digested, you only need to wash it out to get the natural pulp. I wonder if other plant eater’s dung would also work. Does not work with cows, but yes with horses. I tried it. The elephant sanctuary moved away before I got dung to try it. lol. They used a huge water barrel and a paint mixer to get the pulp in suspension. Done outside in the yard. In case you want to expand your paper products. ;) Love your woodblock-like prints. They would make great book covers.

So well explained! Thank you :) For the gradient paper, do you use already colored paper or do you add some kind of ink to give it the color?
@dheafarel51352 жыл бұрын
I want to know that too
@ningkaii1482 жыл бұрын
Hi I’m not sure if you’re still interested but I’m pretty sure you can do both. But if you’re going ti use ink make sure to make it a bit darker than you want because of the water added in the pulp I think the colour fades a bit when you dry the paper.
@tracybowling1156 Жыл бұрын
You need to make sure the screen with the newly made paper is dryer. Keep sponging the water off the screen until it separates from the paper all by itself. I hope this helps! 😊

share my experience, paper dyes can use natural dyes or you can also use textile dyes, if there are various types of natural dyes, there are strong colors, some are weak, they fade easily, textile dyes will still have strong colors, apart from using dyes, you can also separate paper raw materials which will be recycled in a blender are grouped with similar paper colors so no need to use dyes anymore

This would be so lovely video if there was no background music or some lighter sounds without drumming. That would be suitable for relaxing video. This way with drumming it is, alas, tiresome. And you have such a lovely voice and very nice presentation. Not to mention all the hard work you put into it.
