One of my favourite drummers. He helped Oasis to the next level on WTSMG. This isn't a dig at Tony, who will always be the guy that drummed on one of the finest albums of all time, but Alan's superior technique and skill elevated the material Noel was writing at the time. His little flourishes, the syncopation and the fills that have become legendary all contributed towards Oasis' finest period imo.

The 20-odd minute version of Shoot a Hole Into The Sun is just on another level. Is there more of that, though? I wouldn't be surprised. Noel said he deleted it, but the man keeps demos for a decade before finishing them, so... Imagine reforming and then touring all that psychedelic madness eh?

The Earls Court shows remain the best I've heard them. This sounds epic, THAT voice. Really hope someone takes on the back catalogue down the line and handles it better. The box sets are full of tat and bar the chasing the sun stuff we get very little in the way of new material. Bootlegs are a 90s thing, KZbin is better than nothing but get the good stuff properly released! Thanks for sharing 👍
