It was really fun I seen it blow up on some minnows of some sort we seen them doing that so we tied on plastic swim baits and i seen one do it again made a quick cast landed right where she just blew up and came right back at my bait ,,she jumped about ten times had 30lb braid p line she wasn't going nowhere ,,got her close to the boat was looking down in the water at her about six ft down then she decided to blow up right in my face off she went 😕 but it was a blast lol just didn't get to hold her

update... I used the custom chatterbait yesterday and caught 5 very nice bass within an hour. It was a huge success. I trimmed the trailer down just a little bit. It was too torn up to stay on the hook after the 5th fish! I really appreciate all the work you put into your videos!

I think the only situation I really avoid throwing the chatterbait is when the water is super clear (although, I still have and had some luck). That just seems to be the least favorable condition in combination without any wind. Hey, good to hear you caught some on the chatterbait! It's probably the only bait I truly fish year round!

Greg I think you need to approach west coast bass differently...for example in Washington state we don't have shad so perch, bluegil, trout are baitfish. I've tried a lot of lures that work in Midwest and East coast without much luck. West coast baits of choice, senkos, craw baits, curly tail grubs, jerkbaits. keep up the great content and good luck!

big Bull, I don't see you setting hook withe the chatterbait like you do with the frog or drop shot, sharpen those hooks & give them a hook set. I heard some guy at this baitshop telling some guy to use Owner hooks, he said you can hook a bass & let line out & that fish will still be on, never tried so don't know if it holds true, worth a try!

Whats up, Zach! Most of the Delta is actually pretty stained making the chatterbait the clear choice but there are definitely a few pockets where the water filters through and is quite clear. I just like the bulkiness and vibration the bait gives off in the dirtier water conditions as well as with some windy conditions. I think it really increases the strike zone. I like green pumpkin when the water is >4-5' visibility. Hope you're able to keep fishing now that you're a married man!

I had to quit watching 3 minutes in, I noticed you have the weakest hook set I've ever seen and then you lost that big one. I told myself "I knew that was coming." I've lost a lot of fish setting the hook lightly like you do , but trained myself to yank hard and I haven't had a bass come loose in many a year.
