Hey Captain, just a heads up for the issues on the Fire Rat. The newer Dart Zone bamboo half-darts with the green body and purple heads should work better. They're about 1mm shorter in length compared to the Pros and also about 3/4 the weight. This means they have a much higher velocity at short range but lower distance shots that makes them perfect for CQB.

I had bad luck with the newer bamboo darts, including a nasty jam with my Fire Rat. I guess results may vary.

@@VileMods When I managed to fish the dart out of the barrel it was folded in half. Think it caught a lip or something and then just buckled. I also have a bearing scar added to the front, and that changes the geometry of the whole blaster on the top. I would think in stock form it does not have issues.

My Fire Rat loves the Dart Zone Max Half-Length Pro Darts from Target, probably put around 200-300 through it without a jam. Monkee Mods sell replacement magazines, both the standard plastic and an aluminum one.

The rocket launchers looked great until I saw the ammo they fired. Just looks like spring missiles rather than any plunger system

@ Captain. I use a 12 Guage bore cleaning rod with aluminum polish chucked into a power drill to prep new aluminum/brass barrels . Run a cleaning cloth with thin silicon oil up and down the bore a few times . Keeping the barrel lubed , especially aluminum ; will help prevent stuck darts and broaden ammo compatibility .

The product listing for the Fire Rat on Biu-Blaster is so hilarious: It calls it "highly assembled" and all the pictures show it firing in what looks like full-auto, with the slide locked back and being used as a stock! 🤣 It's a shame to see quite a few copies of well-loved community designs, such as the Gecko and Caliburn, on the site and I hope those stop being produced soon. However the DZP Mk2 Clone labelled as the "Mk3" does intrigue me as I've seen a few of those knocking about, can you possibly do a review of that? (It's probably not very good though) Thanks for the great video Cap! 🧡🖤

10:31 you could probably use Kuryaka’s dual stage pulsar cage and either tone down the motors and use a low crush, or just hook up the first stage and leave the second one empty. Edit: Monkee Mods has a ton of parts for the Fire Rat

If I remember correctly from Coop's review, there's a knob on the front of the Phoenix 2.0 that adjusts the fire rate.

The swift does need O-ring work to work well. I have several Fire Rats. One with the full metal kit and the scar. The DZ Bamboos and The AF pros work well. The crimson half darts are a little thicker foam and seem to not work so well. I', waiting for the mosfet in English to release so I can mod my 2 phoenix 2.0s. I have the Electric PDW-45 Flywheels Dart Blaster from another site. I wonder if you could get it before I get mine?
