Oh my God, thank you so much for your concise yet detailed explanation Prof. Martin! These videos of yours really help me in statistics. God bless you!

Thank you thank you thank you. I am in graduate school and taking statistics for the first time, in my second language, and don't understand anything. Your videos are clear and precise and to the point! If I survive stats it will be because of these

this was really well thought out video. I liked how you provided how to visualize the data and what test could be used. Extremely well planned. Thank you making this video.

Thanks. I'm taking a Psych research class & I just wasn't getting it. So, this is setting the foundation for the online class I'm taking. I will be adding your channel to my feedback for the Curriculum & Instruction Designers at my university to add this to the lessons. Just reading in online classes with a subject like statistics & research is not enough.

Hi Prof. Marin. I wanted to ask you whether you covered already multivariable analysis methods and statistical modeling. I could not find these video at your webpage.

Good explanation. Thanks !!

Hi Mike, Are you going to provide any videos related to machine learning in future?
@alexmolyneux8163 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video, great stuff? Do you have one explaining the analysis for combining both num and cat variables for X to predict either num or cat for Y (which you typically find as a data science problem)?
@marinstatlectures3 жыл бұрын
Yes, that would be linear regression (for Y being NUM) and logistic regression (for Y being CAT). I’m uploading an entire course worth of videos that covers that, and more. I’ll be adding the rest of the lectures over the next week. Link to the playlist is here: kzbin.info/aero/PLqzoL9-eJTNBDAG955KrzpduiPCj8-_3m

@@marinstatlectures The Linear Regression and Logistic Regression are both Statistics concept found in Machine Learning, are you going to do some lectures about Machine Learning as well?

you make me a video on how you leaned to write in reversal.

Lol, the image is flipped/mirrored...I’m not writing backwards...but lots of people think I am ;)
@terrieterrie57802 жыл бұрын
Which tests to use for a very large sample of N=2000?
@marinstatlectures2 жыл бұрын
It’s mostly not about the sample size, but it depends on the types of variables you have and what it is you want to test…
@awfan2214 жыл бұрын
Is my dude writing backwards? Damn!
@alexmolyneux8163 жыл бұрын

if X is continuous and Y is categorical what test we do
@marinstatlectures3 жыл бұрын
I’d use logistic regression there, although there are other approaches that would be reasonable
