びわ湖疏水船・前面展望（2024年3月27日、滋賀県大津市・京都府京都市） Front view of Lake Biwa canal cruise

滋賀と京都をつなぐ琵琶湖疏水の観光遊覧船「びわ湖疏水船」の今季の運航が2024年3月28日、始まった。今季から一部の便で航路が琵琶湖岸の大津港（大津市浜大津5丁目）まで延伸。昨年まで三井寺－蹴上間の約7・8キロだった運航区間は大津港－蹴上間の約9・3キロに延長されたほか、大津閘門（こうもん）と呼ばれる水位調整の水門を船に乗ったまま通過する様子が公開された。

This season's operation of the ''Lake Biwa Canal Boat,'' a sightseeing boat on the Lake Biwa Canal that connects Shiga and Kyoto, began on March 28, 2024. Starting this season, the route for some flights will be extended to Otsu Port (Hamaotsu 5-chome, Otsu City) on the shore of Lake Biwa. Until last year, the operating section between Miidera and Keage was about 7.8 kilometers, but the route was extended to about 9.3 kilometers between Otsu Port and Keage. A video of the ship passing through was released.
