Bixler V2 build and 1st flight

This is the bixler v2 from Hobby King full build, adding all electronics and first flight. I bought this for 43 dollars plus 20 for shipping around September 15th, 2024, on Clearance from Hobby King. This is just the foam and some hardware, as you will see. I cover all the important steps in installing the electronics and fist flight. This kit comes with no instructions what so ever. I do my best to show you how I think it should be done. Gluing the tail on is the only step that I didn't video as it's very straightforward because it's sloted. I used the white glue in the video. If I missed a step you need explained, let me know, and I will do a separate video if you need me to. Feel free to ask question's if you have the, I will do my best to answer them. I have a Volantix Ranger (same design plane) with FPV, and its my favorite plane to fly. With the motor on the top, you never have to worry about it being ripped off during landing.

Recently, I built a Bixler 1.1 from a kit and fitted it out completely from my spares box. There are no instructions for the kit version but I found a build video on KZbin . However the builder made a hash of it and the plane did not fly well. The video gave a view inside the fuselage so I could see where everything went. The build is quite intuitive and the model went together very well. One glaring omission in the instructions was the control throws. Set up as shown in the pictures produces far too much aileron and elevator throw. HOBBYKING claims it is a beginners model, .but the throws are far too much. The Bixler 2 throws are much less and I used them which provide much better control. The model is classed as a glider and flies happily on 50% power and when gliding off a slope yet will perform basic aerobatics on full power. I really enjoy flying my Bixler 1.1.
