@@nalimlattarai2873 What does race have to do with what i'm saying? Are you even black? Immediately calling me white when i'm PR...but i don't think race has to do with it, maybe my age? I'm 32 from NYC...I just don't like the retarded messages and mumbling in the new age hip hop songs that kids listen to now a days...that's just my opinion...you don't have to agree. Are you racist towards white people? Sounds like you're...i thought that only "white people can be racist though."

I completely disagree with you. Part of the point and charm of this song, and I think one reason that people love it so much, is that it's supposed to be a guy from everyday life who is relating something that so many people can understand. It's in his feeling, the emotion and real-ness, where the beauty lies. I always loved the way Biz Markie sings this. I always thought of it as a hybid of rap-singing. And I think the second-half of your sentence helps make my point. I totally disagree with the first half of your sentence, and totally agree with the second half; I think you started to touch on something there, whether you realized it or not. Peace. :)

Biz Markie, the charismatic rapper whose infectious 1989 single "Just a Friend" became a pop culture classic, has died, his manager confirmed in a statement. Markie, whose real name is Marcel Theo Hall, was 57. Markie had a history of health issues. Last year, he was hospitalized in Maryland and treated for complications that are a part of his history with Type II diabetes. In 2014, Markie said he had to lose over 150 pounds to improve his health, BET reported. Type II diabetes develops when the body becomes resistant to insulin or when the pancreas is unable to produce enough insulin, according to the Mayo Clinic. "" is a song written, produced and performed by American hip hop artist Biz Markie. It was released in September 1989 as the lead single from his album, . It is Markie's most successful single, reaching number 9 on the Hot 100 in 1990
