He was my first crush when I started watching rerun Star Treks with my dad. I was around 8 or 9 in the 80's. I don't care if he's considered an ahole, am sad he was mean to the rest of the crew. I was so happy he actually got to go to space, wish Lenard Nemoy missed the chance.

@@dcantrell5584 "wish Lenard Nemoy missed the chance." Isn't that a bit harsh, why would you wish such an awful thing towards Lenard (Mr. Spock) Nemoy? What did he ever do to you to wish he'd miss such a unique experience? You (maybe even) caused his death just to get your wish Just kidding, I just had to reply to your innocent typo 😉

@@glenndavis1367You guys never watched The Unexplained? Boy did you find a gem! He also hosted a show called "Weird or What" and I believe that he was an executive producer on both shows. They are great! Can't imagine those shows without Shatner! Leonard Nimoy hosted a show in the late 70's on PBS called " In Search Of". It was fascinating because it was long before any paranormal shows were on TV . I think you can find some episodes on KZbin and I highly recommend them all!! ✌️💜👻👽

I am 78 years old now but, when I was 4 years old, my family and I experienced ball lightning! The lightning struck the electrical connection coming from the light pole to the house. A ball of pure white light came through the window and what seemed like forever ( seemed like everything turned to slow motion), it floated around the room and then exited back out the window. In the mean time my mother screamed, grabbed me and landed on the floor to avoid the light. My dad was only a few feet away on the floor with us. I'll never forget the fear in her screams nor seeing that light. FACINATING!

My family had a similar experience and I missed the whole thing because, as usual, I had my nose in a book. My mom told me after that ball lightning came in through the chandelier, blew two of the bulbs and went out the window.

I worked in a very large mental hospital from the early 70’s. They were doing experiments on sensory deprivation and had built a “room within a room” it was literally suspended from the ceiling of the bigger room. Some staff volunteered to be part of the experiment, some walked in and out but one ward sister was in the Guinness book of records for years for staying in there for the longest time, it was days, she said she wanted to come out because she thought everyone had forgotten about her and she could smell smoke. She was a very strong character, a wonderful nurse but a determined lady, very practical not the type to have a vivid imagination. Well done Maureen, you put LMH on the map, but it’s all apartments now.

From what I understood Sarah Winchester was a very sharp lady. She lost her family and had endless money to spend. The workers said she was very kind to them. I think she just enjoyed creating new rooms for the house. She did think spirits gave her ideas for the house. I think plenty of people do things that seem crazy. You might say staring at a phone screen all day is crazy.

My grandfather told all about ball lightning. He pointed out that if you were sitting in a chair that was touching a wall inside of the house and the ball lightning entered the house, you should pull your chair away from the wall so you didn’t get electrocuted. The ball lightning wil travel along the walls of the house then will exit the house through the window.

Yep! When I was young my Granny would tell us the same thing. We were sitting in the den during a lighting storm and it entered the house. It traveled around all four corners of the room and left through a window. Pappy put a lightning rod on the house the very next day. Lolol

Oh sure. Lightning can go thru windows and doors, will hit u if you're touchin anything it the vicinity, it'll hit u if you're in the water and it strikes the water even miles away. If ur under a tree it'll travel thru the roots and get u even if ur not hit by the blow from the tree on top. Puddles magnify it × 10. Etc. Etc. Lots a different Lightning types & ways they can travel.

The Winchester House is definitely its own entity, and you will doubt it,or question if it really is until you have stood there and placed your hand on the house , (any place on it )and feel it for yourself .(as i have) Beyond the energy and ghosts, ect ..there is the actual architecture, and what you relize when your eyes lay upon the house is that a VERY TALENTED AND DARING ,UNIQUE, EXTREMELY INTELLIGENT ARCHITECT (be it novice),created this.,its easy to get lost in the paranormal, yet just as easy to get lost in the craftsmanship and designs of the Winchester House .

One thing I learnt about doctors used by insurance companies when I developed severe latex allergy, was to convince me that all debilitating symptoms I experienced physically were all in my mind. Why? Because they do not know. So, they sent me to be assessed by experts. The outcome? I was sane and not imagining what was happening to me. It was a very difficult time in my life losing my job because of it. Sad with the realisation that some doctors’ sense of morality can bought. Fortunately, two specialists believe me.

My husband always has to be chronically early. Trust me given peoples reactions I think us fashionably late people are alot more tolerated then someone who always arrives before they're even ready haha. I told the doctors office to schedule me when they want me, not schedule me and tell me to get there 20 minutes early, because then I can tell them whether or not I can make it there in time. That's super annoying. If I could make it there at that time I wouldn't tell you not to schedule me before the time I give you. Some of us still work and have kids lol. Life in America is silly compared to most places. What is everyone rushing to in an unsafe hurry. Drive safe and be a minute late if necessary, life will still be fine a minute or two late. Rushing around all the time makes a person forget important things and make bad decisions. People need to just relax.

It was as the chemist said, but the crying boy picture was also found to have been lacquered with a coating that also served as a fire retardant. Combine that with the fact that most homes in the area had it as it was given away as a promotion with a lot of household items, in some cases from the realty companies when you bought or rented a house or flat. Its like blaming the sink because most homes have them and porcelain doesnt burn.

Far more likely that more prints were sold in Rotherham by door to door sales people in the 60s & 70s - so more people had it in homes when chip pan fires etc were more frequent. By burning those ones in the UK, The Sun paper would have increased the scarcity of the print. Also, whilst that paper is a ‘top selling’ one, it’s not noted for the quality of its journalism.

This show is a fun collection of lightweight stories. Many older areas have superstitions and I'm remembering some of the ones I heard as a child. We were certain one old, abandoned house was haunted. There'd be loud knocks and other strange noises, always from another part of the house. I was spooked enough that I wouldn't go there alone and I would never stay the night. Exploring that old house was one of the exciting things we dared each other to do as kids.

I can’t see the correlation between Concord and the “Bell Island Boom” sonic booms created by aircraft don’t create damage on the ground of the magnitude being attributed to them, Concord would have slowed to subsonic speed by the time it was anywhere near the Canadian/United States coastline and unless concord had become a super static discharge wick it couldn’t have caused a “beam of energy” that penetrated the ground, especially ground that was or appeared to be frozen (in the original film footage), as for the ball of light I can’t think of anything to explain it or disprove it, maybe the young man who saw it was seeing “stars” from being hit by the booms, but I don’t know. My personal view is that it must have been an important event for Canada to allow “scientists” from Los Alamos to investigate, and without properly identifying themselves to anyone, especially the fire investigator?, we all know that the USA and Canada have a mutual cooperation agreement but does that extend to letting scientists or any of the “alphabet soup” agencies conduct investigations on Canadian soil “Willy-nilly” or unescorted????, I also think that had it been concord that had caused the events it wouldn’t be a mystery to this day, especially as concord has long retired and any secrecy around her operations would be in the public domain, so I think the reporter who said it was concord should try another hypothesis or theory. Karl Stephan @ 11:49 is an engineer, but what type of engineer? Mechanical?, Electrical? Fluidity? Jet Propulsion? Or one of the many engineering degrees? just because he is an engineer does not make him an expert on electricity or lightning, if his specialty is electrical engineering then why not say so, I have an aerospace engineering background but that doesn’t make me an expert on electricity or lighting, but I bet there are plenty of scientists/professors in Canada who are, and probably at Texas state university, sorry but nothing this expert has said gives me any confidence in his theory, if the chickens were hit by a massive electrical charge how come they still had all their feathers, if the charge was strong enough to make glass fuzes into projectiles and destroy the hen coup then surely it would have turned the chickens into instant KFC?, and if the lightning struck that close to the boy wouldn’t he have suffered from the effects as well? and how did damage occur over large distances but nobody or nothing else appears to have been affected, injured or killed. Dr Stephan is, in my opinion, blowing smoke. One last opinion, if we know so little about ball lightning how can anyone possibly say that is what the young man saw, and how would it hover, lightning is not a static force it is dynamic so it hovering around does not make any logical sense. @ 15:35 I remember the “Woodpecker Signal” being revealed on a British television science show but they called it, if memory serves, the “Moscow Chainsaw/buzzsaw” but I don’t remember it being addressed by the United Nations 🇺🇳, but it could have been as it disappeared as quickly as it appeared, but I can’t see a 10Mhz signal causing the events on Bell island, I would have thought that to create an event like that you would need a massive electrical charge and a frequency much higher than 10Mhz, even today the ability to create such an effect is not, as far as I know, easily done, so in the 70s? Not in my mind. Having said all that the Colonar theory is the most plausible explanation that has been put forward, I don’t think that laymen have enough knowledge or understanding of the atmosphere and atmospheric phenomena that we could dispute the varsity of that particular theory, I know I certainty don’t. I know I have an opinion about a lot of things about the Bell island events, and probably come across as arrogant and self opinionated, and that is, in this case, probably correct, but there again I am getting old and so I don’t really care, again arrogance on my part, so if I have offended anyone or triggered them all I can say is DILLIGAF, age and dementia give me a lot of wiggle room, but I have put my soapbox away, vented my spleen and written my thesis so rest easy I have finished being a know it all, at least for this episode.

DILLIGAF is just a acronym that I, and most of the British military personnel have used probably from our first day in basic training and throughout our service, it breaks down as “Do I Look Like I Give A F..K” usually reserved for banter but also when, for instance, you give an order for a junior rank to do something, something they don’t want to do, or feel like it is not their turn or job to do and they whinge and whine about it, so instead of saying each word you use DILLIGAF, it is sort of complicated but it works, just like SNAFU and FUBAR, but they are a different story. 😀👍🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇺🇦

I have spoken to Mr. Shatner at a horse show once he was showing reiners horses but he was riding in the side ring on an older saddle bread I actually believe it was the horse he rode in the movie star track generations when I saw him on the horse the horse was beautiful older but still beautiful full of life proud the horse raised his front legs and held his tail and head high and proud this was around 2008 I was with my friend who was showing his reining horse easy does it, yes against Shatners but horses did very well mr Shatner take care keep up with your reining horses God Bless He was very nice I told him his horse was beautiful he simply smiled brightly and said thank you and kept riding he was focused on his riding so I left him alone I have to say I was truly impressed how he seemed to be connected to that horse I have heard that saddlebreads are like arabs they become very loyal to there owners I wanted to talk further but I have been in the movie industry along time and I knew actors kinda need there time away from others have a little peace and quiet to enjoy there hobbies and such I too loved star track and wnted to talk with him about lots of things but also respect his privacy so I just watched the show and left with my friend and Shatner did well he took a third in one class and first and second in two other classes he rode well If anyone ever wanted to know about Mr Shatner he is a horse guy and he is wonderful with horses has has a gentle hand and loves his animals from what I saw captain or not he loves animals

Regarding Bell Island, I heard a theory it was something called 'super lightning' and it can also cause a rare ball lightning. I have never seen it, but I know someone who has. It can be as tiny as little pea sized orbs apparently, or grow larger. They appear, and disappear, or sometimes a mini 'explosion'. But super lightning can certainly make loud booms also, and destroy things. Then I saw that part of the show, and someone said the same thing so, that's my best guess.

Yeah, sensory deprivation doesn’t make you lose your bearings. You have more sensory than just your eyes. I did the deprivation tank and I still knew where everything was. I also didn’t see anything like colors. I fell asleep half way through the hour, and I had a kind of boring dream, but that’s it. I was disappointed. Only thing that happened is my body felt loose from the epsom salt.

I used to live in downtown L.A. in Lil Tokyo and I'd walk almost daily and most weekend nights id visit the Alexandria just to check out the night life and to roam the hallways and walk through the floors to end up on the roof ... and yes that place makes one feel of sorrow and seriously considering suicidal acts and thoughts. The original elevator is abandoned and closed off because of it being soo haunted and deadly.. the new elevator they built didn't make a difference.. The elevator will playing the elevator game with you. It was unavoidable. It was bound to happen .. and it would happen more times that one wanted to go tormented and terrifying experiences... contact me if u wanna hear my hole story... it's pretty good

The Gloria Ramirez case where the hospital personnel dropped and became ill happened close to the area I grew up in. She was at Riverside General Hospital in Riverside, California. That case was crazy. I remember when it happened. It was a mystery for a good bit of time and alot of people were affected by the woman. Like I said, that's one of the craziest medical cases that's happened in our area, if not the craziest. Nothing like that ever happened before and nothing like it has ever happened since. It's a one of a kind, one time event, that occurred when certain things lined up and created changes that no one knew was going on because no one at the hospital was informed of the DMSO that was applied all over her body. The story about the meth lab is a bunch of crap. That's not any story I've ever heard of being connected to this case. Meth in an IV bag would not smell like ammonia, it would stink like a meth lab, and it would not make 27 out of 30+ hospital employees get sick with the symptoms that they suffered from. If that was any kind of true, back at that time, there would have been people everywhere affected the same way and there wasn't. That case happened at a time when meth labs were everywhere in California's Inland Empire, especially in both San Bernardino County and Riverside County with the former being the worst of the two. With the amount of "cooks" that were active and getting caught during those years, over a thousand a month, there were all kinds of people exposed to the manufacturing process. It also stayed in the walls of the homes where labs were set up and used. If making meth and the chemicals it produces in the process were the reason behind the Ramirez case, reason says there would have been all kinds of people getting sick from exposure during the process, let alone the people who had the misfortune of occupying the home next due to the chemical residue in the walls. That's not what happened back then. Meth labs blew up when mistakes were made and chemicals would mix when they shouldn't. There were never rooms of people falling ill with the symptoms the people that worked on Ramirez suffered with. Nothing like that was ever reported with all the active labs or the buildings they were used in, and there were hundreds on hundreds back then. They were everywhere and were getting busted all the time. If they weren't getting busted, they were blowing up and burning down. It was an epidemic for many years after the Hell's Angels lost control of the manufacturing side of meth. When they had control of the drug, the manufacturing process was never even heard of in neighborhoods occupied by families like they were at the time this case took place. Definitely throughout those crazy years, no body was ever reported to suffer anything like what happened at Riverside General Hospital the day Gloria Ramirez arrived from a meth lab. It would have been a huge event if it did. It was proven they all suffered from a nerve gas that Ramirez's body somehow manufactured with the DMSO she applied. Certain things would have to happen to change the DMSO to the nerve gas, dimethyl sulphate, and for some strange reason, they all took place in her body that day.

The Winchester mansion is a very unique place but, haunted? I don't think so. It seemed peaceful on our tour and the guide did try to build the creep factor. Having said that, I wouldn't want to be alone in that house. Even during the day! It has a way of turning you about in wrong directions. That alone has a strange creepiness. Now the riddle words on the two glass windows, that was creepy. Our guide walked us by the staircase to nowhere but didn't even stop to let us look, I snuk around to get a photo in that stairwell. When we went to rejoin the group, we almost couldn't find them. It's a huge maze of a place
