Kingdom hearts was the last game my dad bought for me before he died. I came home from basketball practice in 4th grade. I went to my room and looked at my small shelf of Ps2 games for something to play and I spy a game called Kingdom Hearts. At this point I never have heard of it or seen this game before on the shelves of Kmart or Walmart. I went to my parents asking where did it come from. My dad said "I don't know but seems cool, maybe you were just meant to have it'. I went back to my room and played and let me tell that beginning ominous section with the echoing footsteps, and it asking me big questions that felt super important that I answer honestly like something from above was watching me. I genuinely felt that I was doing something special. When I went to school the next day I asked all my friends if they have heard about this game and did they get copies too, they all said no. When I explained to them what the game was like they thought it was weird sounding and they thought I was making it up. I believed my parents when they said they didn't know how it got there at the time and when my friends had no idea about the game even existing, I was CONVINCED that it was up to me to help Sora find his friends. (later in life found out my dad just really liked Disney and saw rated E game with Disney characters on it and bought it on whim at the local Kmart) It was the most magical way I have ever received a game and I have never felt that feeling again for a game since.

I went to Space Camp when I was 12 in Huntsville Alabama. Most surreal experience I've ever had in my life for many reasons... but as it was ending, my Dad and I were doing our last day at the Space Camp and they had an EB games. We walked in and my eyes immediately locked on Kingdom Hearts. I walked over to it and just kind of stood there staring at the cover. My Dad noticed me staring at it, and asked me what I was looking at. I looked at him and asked "Can you buy this for me?" And he just said "Sure. Looks like fun." My Dad was not the type to just buy video games on a whim, but he bought me that game. I played it all the way home because we has a car TV with a PS2 hook-up. Most magical experience I've ever had with a video game... That game is something special.

Am I the only one that only likes Bioshock Infinite? I'm not trying to hate on the other games, but I feel just.. lost half the time. Maybe I'm a noob, but I've beaten plenty of games. I feel like Bioshock 1 has so many moments of "There are 50 directions to go, and 0 guidance" even when I pay close attention to the story, there's so many names and groups it gets very confusing. I want to like them too, because Infinite is one of my favorite games.

@ForeverMasterless5 күн бұрын
@@ZeranZeran They're just too different to compare, really. Infinite is like a scifi call of duty game. Very linear, with a focus on the shooting which feels better than the previous games. BioShock 1 and 2 or a bit more immersive sim. More open environments, more backtracking through previous areas, more focus on powers and using the environment to your advantage. I like all of them but BioShock 1 is the best imo.

The brightest light casts the darkest shadow one of the best quotes that I ever done heard
@LinkingYellow7 күн бұрын
My understanding is that the worlds, as they fell to darkness, were pulled into the world of darkness through the door to darkness. The hearts of all the worlds gathered together to create kingdom hearts, a really powerful collection of hearts. The main theme of kingdom hearts 1 is that no matter how dark things get, deep down, you'll always find a light that never goes out. Sora discovers this over the course of his journey. When his world falls to darkness and his friends are all lost, he finds light in his hope of finding his friends, and in the new friends he meets along the way. Then later when his heart is unprotected and literally consumed by darkness, Kairi is able to find him and bring out the light that never could be extinguished. Ansem, on the other hand, fundamentally believes that at the core of every heart is darkness, and he bets it all in that assumption, opening the door to release the darkness so he can draw on its power. But as Sora has learned, that's not what's at the core of every heart. The hearts of the worlds are freed, and there is no darkness for Ansem to draw upon. The ending is basically just proof that Sora's faith in hearts is justified, and I've always found that to be really satisfying

Let me just say that I really appreciate how the fundraiser thing was done. You're sitting at a table in Traverse Town, seemingly across from the viewer, and give the option to watch the thing about the fundraiser at the end. Instead of "BUT FIRST A QUICK WORD ABOUT OUR SPONSOR, NORD VPN! NORD VPN PROTECTS YOU FROM BLAH BLAH BLAH" I don't know, I always get annoyed and skip through. Okay, bought the entire series on winter sale. Was looking for playing it before. And now I am ULTRA HYPED to experience this world and story. Always thought this game has interesting concept, now I'm going to experience it myself. Thank you for the final push in form of this video!
