Sorry but the music on utopia is horrible . Just multiple sounds mixed together , and flute everywhere with no melody. Take the song aéroplane live vessel. The melody of the flute is perfect , side by side with the music. But here in utopia it’s like 3 different song mixed together. One song on the album ok. But all the songs ? Tbh: I watch this video a lot during the morning because idk it helps me to take my life and mood into perspective. Been so depressed this year and getting on medication for it, and I see this video as myself getting better. I was in a dark cocoon in the beginning of the year and couldn’t find the light at all. But I tried my best to get better and talk about which gave me the ability to get on medication and get better. Also with Arca in black dancing was to me a symbolism of how I was saturated in my darkness trying to find the pleasant of it. So this video to me is me breaking way for that. How she breaks away from the cocoon to reveal her transformation with the wings which to me represent personal freedom. And how they bow to each other with the show of respect. To me just makes me think of how I have to control my sadness to find the light. And how I want to find a guy that sees me for who I am passed my mental issues tbh. This song and music video has truly helped me. Thank you for creating this video. Idk I needed it this year. Love you.

@@AshleyMadisonsRight I mean, this is art. That's all we can say for sure. With it being art, people can extract whichever meaning they like. There is sexual imagery here a what the song is exploring is on topic to that. If you don't see the imagery then maybe you have a different experience of the song. However saying as a solid statement, There is NO imagery here. just makes you out to be a bit of an arsehole as you are saying that you are right and everyone else is wrong.

This is so amazing. First Vulnicura now Utopia. Bjork going through her separation and then rebirthing this way, the beautiful strings the flutes, deeply romantic, life&death. I'm kinda glad this is happening to her on 2017, where we have so many things to explore, so many new sounds and when we are not afraid to listen and see more visceral and true humanity. I' so glad that Arca worked here, he's last album is such a deep exploration... you can tell the level of intimacy in both bjork and arca printed in their music, is a time for us to celebrate contemporary music, and this duo just made bjork bjorkest.

At first sight I was surprised for bad. This is the kind of videos you need to watch more times to discover its secrets and appreciate the esthetic. Björk, thank you for being the kind of artist who creates an experience.

arca spoke about the criticism he has received for working with björk: "so many comments from people saying that i should stay away from björk, that i ruined the video for 'arisen my senses' because i appeared or whatever ... when i click on their profiles, i only find faces that look beautiful, cute body language and kind eyes in your selfies! to you: i send a lot of kisses back." - arca. björk also spoke on the subject: "I feel so grateful that arca, agreed to appear in the video for 'arisen my senses' i insisted on it because his part in the song is bigger than normal in my other songs that have won videos. i insisted with mark bell, for the video for 'declare independence' for the same reasons, which i am very excited to have done. they have a more open mind to the complexities of the musical unions between different generations with different sexual orientations making this video with jesse kanda, was something precious to acknowledge the collaborations in all the music won fantastic winter solstice! - björk i would like to introduce the first 4 videos of utopia in the chronological order ! i always felt this was a bit of a triptych and now the first episode is like d d d d done ! can´t wait to start the new year with fresh flavours , happy winter solstice everyone !! - björk . i am so incredibly honoured to have gone on this spectacular trip with true kanda, and arca, and james merry, to get together to express from our mutual melting pot the music and the visuals to this ! overwhelming gratitudes to jesse for his miraculous slug sculpture and for his blinding devotion ! warmth , björk . info sources: twitter.com/bjork - instagram.com/bjork/ - facebook.com/bjork/ - instagram.com/arca1000000/?hl=en - facebook.com/arca1000000/ - facebook.com/SiteBjorkBrasil/

This is honestly one of Bjork's best songs to me. It's so sensuous and triumphant. As a bridge out of Vulnicura's oppressive darkness, it works superbly. And also, considering it prominently samples Arca, it's super cool as an intro to the album. Video's freaking gorgeous too.

Yes of course it’s a whole team that helps create her vision....HER VISION she is an artist, not just a musician. The creator is the one who has the concept and the vision, the rest of the team executes that. Please don’t try and undermine her and say she’s just a musician as if she’s Britney Spears or some empty vessel. She has all the say in her creative work and is the master of her vision. Yes others help and create the costumes and designs but again it’s to her vision and it’s a collaborative effort of many people. She’s hasn’t been around this long uncompromised by being told what to do. Remember even the great master painters had help and apprentice who even painted some of the masterpieces for them, it’s been going on since the ages, but it was always the artist style and direction and concept.
@oceanusun7 жыл бұрын

Finally I had the opportunity to listen to her amazing voice for the first time in my life live, at Cornucopia... Tears rolled down my cheeks when listening to the first notes of this beautiful song. I wish I'd had enough money to be at the front, but unfortunately I could only afford a less expensive seat and I couldn't really see her, but I had the fortune to listen to that magical voice at last, after so many years of enjoying her art. She's an artist in all the extension of the word. An artist that the world only sees once, a true genius. Thank you so much, Björk, for sharing your unique art with the world. Thank you for so many years of creating these jewels. I hope you come back soon to Mexico again!! ♥
