So a fun fact about this music video: I saw part of this music video as a very little kid, and the imagery was so strange and surreal I assumed for many years that I had dreamed it. One day by chance I mentioned it to a friend and she immediately showed me this video. Strangely enough I was already a Bjork fan, I'd just never seen this video. Anyway it's so strange watching this back because there are ancient neuron pathways in my brain that lie dormant until I watch this again and it's like a flood coming back, a madeline soaked in tea, connecting me to the past.

That’s crazy because something like this happened to me, just with the Human Behavior video. I’m quite young and I watched that video years ago so I was even younger then. Randomly throughout the years I would think about Björk running around in a cartoon-like forest being chased by something and at the end of last year I thought of it again but this time I searched EVERYWHERE for it. I couldn’t so I gave up until a month or so ago when I finally accidentally found it while watching a different video. It’s crazy that her mvs are just so unreal that they make you feel like you’re dreaming or you hallucinated it. She truly is magical

I told her that it was a compliment, but I didn't get the chance to even attempt to put to words this enigmatic enigma that certain members of our age have come to know. How do you even explain Bjork to the uninitiated? Where do you even begin..? I'm supremely grateful that I grew up in a time when she reigned supreme. I just feel so old right now. i listen to this in summer when i work everyday 12 hours from fkn may to october, i sing it louder the closer i get to the end of the season and at the end i fnally get to fucking shout it until i literally run out of voice and lose my fkn voice for some time. totally worth it
