This by far was one of the, if not the best leglock defense instructional I have seen online. Simple, effective, and well explained.

@@joma0305 hahaha never seen this 😂 all my limbs are perfectly fine thanks to firas. Even a year after your question

@@davidespy1133 after three years i can genuinely say its legit! Keep in mind the urgency is HIGH, i train with real killers that will simply lock it in with no going back if given the time. When it becomes instinct your defense is a problem for leg lockers!

You make it look so easy why are leglocks so seemingly dominant in competition?
@wemylee7 жыл бұрын
Awesome pointers! What about escaping when you are on bottom and the person on top moves to a leg lock (like when you attacked the leg near the end of the video?) Any thoughts about creating space when you don't have the momentum of the sweep to work with?

What is the leg.rolling takedown called at the start of the video
@markhill81507 жыл бұрын
Just a question. Are you not more vulnerable to the straight ankle lock by pointing your toes forward like that while escaping? I understand that is to help free the leg. These videos are amazing for my training. Thank you.

Hey Firas! The guy attacking the leglock is attacking from single leg X, is there a cross ankle variation for a 50/50 type situation? Thanks as always, awesome channel

yes you can do it from 50/50 but get it going early!

What happens if your opponent goes for an straight anklelock, don't play into his cards if I am pointing my toes?

when you insert the cross ankle, do you need to get a delariva to insert it or can I just go shin to shin? Thanks in advance

I would also add that if you do feel the slightest bit of pressure on any leg lock then TAP QUICK!!! There's no shame in taping but if someone tears up your ankle or knee then that injury may affect you for the rest of your life. Leg locks are no joke.

Instead of the cross ankle to the back of the knee 🦵why not just push kick his behind😂❓wouldn’t it be safer for the leg that’s helping you defend the leg that’s being attached 😬 but I have a great feeling you do that sometimes 😁 like 😎 not today buddy 🤟🏾

Danaher on the Rogan podcast said that whenever you do a leg lock always neutralize the other leg first. Which would kill this escape. Maybe if you were cool like him firas you could be on the Rogan podcast as well.... so sad. Lol
