Good passing for leglockers too because of the leg pommeling.

Like the tip about keeping opponents knees facing away from the way you want to pass. I will certainly try to remember this principal. In think on it now, the toreando pass certainly embodies it.

How essential is it to pin hand? Without it the position seems unstable and too easy for him to move.

The problem I have is capturing and extending out that arm. People are always bunched up much tighter than that, any tips?

I find that gripping that hand with my opposite hand (palm up) then passing it over to my hand on the same side once it’s separated from his body works. It’s similar to the cross-gripping from mount thing Danaher teaches.

6:20 hi jay can we go to mount from there instead of knee on belly? it looks like such a cool floaty pass

Sorry for the late reply. I’m just seeing the comments. Yes, you can transition to mount.

Those 2 girls in the left of screen, just paying zero attention, having their own little chat session during the instruction. No hespect at all. I wanted the instructor to turn around and tell them to STFU or leave.

I get that globetrotters is meant to be a relaxed environment, but dang those 2 girls talking most of the video took it a bit too far

When the coach giving the seminar says "I hate mount. I can't hold it very well," it might be time to look somewhere else 👀

Close minded. There is more than just mount, ppl have different games and it doesn't mean that they are bad in other areas because they avoid one specific area. I'm actually glad when coaches are honest, I don't have to agree but I'm glad I see his/her perspective

I agree to an extent. But that just tells me if I ever see him teaching any mount techniques to take whatever he says with a big grain of salt.

Go look somewhere else then 🤷‍♂️Jay is a great instructor. You are obviously new around here. It's not a seminar about maintaining mount so it's not relevant.

He can hold mount on 99.9 percent of bjj athletes all day long. It was kind of a joke, judging by tone:)
