Amazing video. Best Choi bar breakdown I’ve ever seen. Easy to identify 3-4 reasons I’m getting stuck and not finishing. Also great to see why it’s better to learn from K guard rather than half guard. Who’s better than Currier at teaching these Craig Jones techniques for us advanced hobbyists 😅 Thanks as always

Thank you 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 I really struggle to make Choi bars work from half guard. So this has always been my go to.

Great video. Really good detail, I really enjoy that you are utilizing the CLA approach and then adding details to refine the movements. Thanks!

I think a blend of CLA and technique driven process is way to go. ❤

great content. Quick question for you, what do you think about a triangle lock at 18:16 instead of a head clamp? This way it locks the shoulder down? Thoughts?
@Michaelcurrierbjj3 ай бұрын
Yes absolutely. I typically move to a triangle shape, I do it in once of the last demonstrations in this video, but I don’t talk about it.

interesting! But isn't a choi bar characterized by you having the lower half guard leg hooking theirs so they can't roll through?
@Michaelcurrierbjj3 ай бұрын
Maybe? I always thought of it as the top leg coming over to attack the outside arm.

likewise actually that's great just big up for your selves 🤔❤,

Is the girl in the video an instructor too?
@Michaelcurrierbjj3 ай бұрын
That’s Lea-Marie Stock, she just was promoted to brown belt, but she’ll be an instructor before too long!
