Thrifting is so much fun! The Goodwill near me has $1 sale for the color of the week (sometimes they do 2 colors 😱) and I always score the best stuff. I have a capsule wardrobe and I’m very intentional and strategic when I thrift. That way I don’t end up with a bunch of things just because it’s so cheap. I go for high quality materials and more classic pieces I can mix and match easily. I also look for unique pieces that can bring a bit of unexpected fun into my usually boring/traditional wardrobe. Pinterest and instagram are the places I go to look for inspiration so when I go thrifting I have a specific look or looks in mind. It helps me stay focused cause, as you girls mentioned, thriftiness can be overwhelming. My favorite thing in this entire haul was the blue dress. It looked like it was tailored to her 👌 that piece alone would’ve made this trip worth it for me. Great job!

Thrifting is the best, I’d have too much fun with you. This was really fun to watch and gave me great ideas. The things with germs, hotels are used rooms you rent, restaurants are using used silverware you eat from (with no real idea how clean they are), we sit on used benches, etc. etc. etc. just a thought if anyone is squeamish about thrift.

I thrift, but I am kind of squeamish about it. I will only buy shoes and bags if they are very lightly used, and even then, get them cleaned and Lysol the heck out of the insides. I immediately throw clothes into the washer - and I can’t wait to take a shower after hours at a thrift store. I rarely buy furniture or stuff for the house anymore, because my biggest fear is bringing home bedbugs. They are always at the back of my mind when I’m in thrift stores, even when just looking at the clothes.

So addicting...every time I watch your vids I want to go thrifting. Been wearing thrifted shoes for years and I have never developed foot infections or fungus' lol Back when I started thrifting we would try our clothes between used mattresses!! That was when it was legal to sell them second hand...that's how long I have been thrifting circa 1984 What we did for vintage fashion!

Holly A yeah same on the shoes, ppl could also take a wipe and wipe it or wear socks lol but yeah I never got infect or fungus and only really ever buy thrifted shoes

Oh my.... The blazer with that detail in the back, the dress, the white blazer, the express floral top. I did find good gems at Goodwill for my coming trip to Cabos, so happy that you made this kind of video. So far I can not try shoes and get the tissues out from the blazers pockets...hahaha but I can open the bags/purses and see inside... I am getting better at. See you in February 2019.

I was converted to oversize jackets after my Dad died and no one wanted his beautiful camel suede blazer. He's been gone 12 years but still love wearing it and get comments every time I do. Interestingly my mom gave me a camel suede car coat from the 60's that is also gorgeous so I love wearing my parent's jackets. I am still on the hunt for a vintage tweed as well. Hope you go for it too!

I would never buy any shoes and hats at thrift stores. It's not only germs but also fungus. If I can't wash it in at least 60 degrees Celcius it is not coming with me. You are leaving on the edge girl :D Love your videos.

That was fun to watch! I talk to people about the wonders of thrifting but have not taking anyone on a Thrift class field trip. And you provided some cheat notes on working those thrift racks, I thrift shoes also. I wear thin socks on thrifting trips so I can try on and once I get them home I take Clorox wipe and clean the inside. I look at purchasing second hand shoes as when you try on shoes in a retail store and other also have tried them on or returned them. Some of the shoes are barely worn and in good condition at thrift stores, She got some great items and let some slip thru her fingers she will regret the leather jacket for one but it was a find for you. That Goodwill was huge. Thanks for sharing

I am actually coming to the US of A in summer this year (very excited obviously!) and my number 1 thing I want to do is go thrifting (the thrift game is not strong here in Hungary).
