What did he mean when he bet his house? I know people say that when they bet a lot of money on a fight or something but how does he bet his house on the success of this event? I’m guessing he meant that if the event was to be a failure then he’d go bankrupt or something?

@Osmar Castillo Nah, he took out equity from his house. A home equity loan to help fund this event. It was a "bet" that event would be successful, he'd get a good return on his investment, and grow his business. He didn't actually bet his house.

@luckylarry88 Жыл бұрын
@h247ap1 It's definitely not a circus show. Bare knuckle is actually safer than boxing and mma. You see more superficial damage like cuts but there is much less brain damage because they don't wrap the hands and have gloves. You can't punch nearly as hard when your hands aren't wrapped. You have so many small bones in your hand and when you wrap them all those little bones basically become one hard and durable bone and you don't have to worry as much about breaking your hands. When your hands aren't wrapped you don't hit as hard because you don't want your hand bones to get shattered.

I was pretty impressed with the fights during the BKFC event and I agree with Feldman that the production quality is on par with the UFC and Bellator. It may technically be boxing, but I like the fact that they tap into the MMA audience by bringing in former UFC fighters that are known for brawling. It seems like a hybrid sport almost and 2 minutes per round for only 5 rounds is kind of refreshing because if a fight does happen to be boring, it will be over relatively fast compared to regular boxing or UFC fights. However, they all seemed to deliver in the entertainment aspect this past weekend. It's caught my interest, but they still have a long ways to go. They will need to continue signing free agents to keep fan engagement going for the long term. It's also smart of him to not want to continue with ppvs because he is aware the views will be a lot higher from "free" televised events.
