We made it up to my stomping grounds in Northern California.

It looked like we would have a solid opening with the weather, the sun was poking out and the streets were dry. Then it got real wet, real fast. I guess a 12% chance of rain still means there's a chance.
Luckily the trail surface was about 90% rock and it was a blast to ride!

This series is awesome! I live in the east bay in San Leandro and can relate to a lot of it. What trail were you hitting up? Might want to hitup Joaquin Miller park in the Oakland Hills. Trails are a bit short, but there are many different types for all rider skills, and its beautiful. Can't wait for more redemption!

The hard part to ride in the rain or in wet conditions is to get enough courage to get out and ride, but once you're riding usually those are the best.

So excited for another Redemption road trip but I can’t help but think you guys are 2 months too early. You can’t do a CA MTB road trip without Tahoe!!! But it’ll be snow packed for months. Keep it up guys, hope to see you in my neck of the woods (foothills of Tahoe).

Oh man, I hate that trail! Broke my arm there in '07! Super-fun area, though. What you missed (or edited out) are the trails above and below "The Mile". Above is The Crack which is super-narrow and steeper in spots, with small gap jumps and below is basically a jump and berm park in the eucalyptus trees called Boy Scouts. Watch out for poison oak!
