BKXC it's September 27 and because of you, I'm now in Bilbao, Spain, and tomorrow, I'll be meeting up with Doug and crew Basque MTB for six days of riding up in the High Pyrenees. Thanks for planting this incredible idea of a trip in my head. It rained for the past few days, so the dirt will be awesome. Keep up with the good work, my man. You are an inspiration😎👍🏿

That's a great one. Yeah I "blame" BKXC also 😂. Was fortunate enough to do it last year and he happened to be there along with Calirado Kid.

mountain bikers are always welcome in Scotland! have a look at Trailforks to see the huge number of trails (due to the open access laws for mountain bikers & hikers) in different areas of Scotland.

You mentioned using the Inners uplift to do bike setup - check out Innes Graham and Lewis Buchanan's videos as they do a fair bit of that on those very trails you were riding when testing new bikes or getting suspension set up etc

Thanks for sticking around and watching them all!

Well done Brian and Alex! I've really enjoyed watching your adventures in my home country, and it's great to see you riding the trails I ride all the time. You both did really well on the lower Innerleithen trails because they are properly steep and techy!

Just spent all day cleaning up outside from Hurricane Helene here in #UpState SC Had two huge oak trees fall on my driveway and one hitting my front porch. This was a nice way to relax with a beer and watch two of my favorite MTB KZbinrs ❤️

Ahhh man! Those uprooted trees are dangerous. Hope you and your family get everything cleaned up and back to normal soon.

I’ve enjoyed your series in Scotland, it’s also great you got a good week of riding in dry-ish weather and you enjoyed your UK designed bikes. Nice to see a video of just you two riding on your own, how was the Scottish surface compared to your usual American trails?
@bkxcАй бұрын
Pretty awesome trails! We've definitely got some similar trail centers, but you'd have to travel across the country to put them together.

damn, last time i rode here was at a dh race in like 98/99. was my favourite track back then. should really go back especially since I've have ridden the golfie twice in the last year.

Midges are much more of a West Coast thing. No need to worry about them at Innerleithen or the Cairngorms
@-op9fmАй бұрын
Fair enough, still way more likely to have the right conditions for them on the West Coast than the rest of Scotland though. I can't ever remember having any bother with them down in the Tweed Valley in the 20 odd years of riding down there or in most of the Cairngorms. Kinlochleven, Torridon, Fort William and Skye on the other hand are often hard going when it comes to midges.
@MattSB2588Ай бұрын
@@-op9fmvery much agree!
@dangermouse-ch8fbАй бұрын
This hasn't been a great year for midges either. Cold, wet and windy for most of the summer. Not so many still evenings for them to get out feeding.

Feels pretty bad when you watch the whoops at around 3min and realise that you first rode them when that whole section of forest was clearcut, and it's so long ago those trees have grown.
@bkxcАй бұрын
Hahaha, WOW! Blast from the past
@smelgeАй бұрын
@@bkxc That section, Caddon Bank when it opened was completely felled and the hillside was that tangle of broken branches you get. I always remember that cos when you drive into Innerleithen from Peebles, you used to be able to see the riders coming down the trail up on the hill. There's been talk for literally decades now about putting some form of permanent uplift on the hill, but nothings ever gone forwards.

If you'd went to the west coast of Scotland you'd DEFINTELY know about midges for real - they are BRUTAL. In your ears and eyes, total f***ing nightmare. I've experienced mosquitos in NC and its nowhere close in all honesty. Plus on the west coast when its not primo midge weather (damp and cloudy) its perfect for clegs (horse flies) and the bites from those mf's actually nip.
