When you do go for the big solar setup. Instead of putting them a few feet off the ground and effectively losing land, elevate them for semi shaded parking or a place to put picnic tables under. That way it can work like a large permanent awning

It will be nice when solar-battery systems like this replace generators. Won't replace them all (food trucks, portable sound systems, etc.), but for medium to low power needs camping and outdoors, what a godsend! Now the issue to me is security. Easy to lock up the power bank, but the panels? Good suggestion below incorporating them into a permanent awning so you get shade, charging AND security. Win-win-win!

I got the same set-up! During the power outage in Fairfax Ca, I ran my home refrigerator for over 8 hours! When I came home, I still had 21% left on my same Bluetti! You can run an iceco fridge for 3 days without recharging! I just got the same 3 solar panels too! More bike/camping trips in luxury!

I have an off-road camp trailer and just added the Bluetti AC200P to power my lights and other things like fans, phones, computers, etc. love the technology and how simple it is to use. You can add a weatherproof plug on the side of the RV and keep it charging with the generator inside and safe from the elements.

Hey just a quick idea that you might want to build upon and implement in the future but I think constructing fire breaks/service roads along the perimeter and throughout the property is a good move to help protect yourself against wildfires and from wildfires spreading throughout the whole property.

Fire breaks are fine for slow-moving grass fires. But not for what California and the west are experiencing now. There's virtually no way to stop them as winds send embers hundreds of yards & a mile ahead, catching everything they touch. Fire break isn't of much value. But ground and ladder fuel reduction is the best approach. Sounds like Brian's on it after talking to the forester who offered advice. But even then, there's no stopping a major conflagration when you have hot, windy drought conditions.

This is a trend for the KZbin clan who started out as people out riding their bikes, who took the chance on traveling on a shoestring budget, to show a variety of trails and build a subscriber base. Some...have the personality to make it interesting, and some don't. But what we're seeing now is, the successful ones feel they have exhausted the resources of the people who are just tuning in to watch POV vidoes with some vlogging mixed in, and they're resorting to other means to attempt to penetrate into other markets, in order to gain subscribers. The trade off is....they are going to lose some of the people who are only here for the MTB'ing. I'm sure they have done some research, and know how many of those they lose, versus how many they gain with the van building crowd, trail building crowd, and I guess now solar powered crowd? Maybe I'm the only one, but I still tune into Nate Hills every Friday, because I know I'm going to see sick trails, and great video. It doesn't have to be Pro level riding to keep my interest, but it does have to at least be frequent riding. These "I'm building trails on my land" or "look at my sick van build" videos are a dime a dozen now, and it's just not interesting enough to keep my attention. I get the "come for the biking, stay for the stuff that's centered around it" concept, but I'm starting to grow tired of it. Just from watching this video, my feed is now littered with crap about solar power. Ughhh......

@@theangelshomestead4132 .... I'm not knocking them for it. I'm just expressing my observations, and we all decide how we spend our time, right? It's always going to be a challenge when you make your hobby your job. "Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life." Not necessarily true. You have to have an outlet, and if every time you ride your bike, you have to plan it, feel obligated to film it, edit it, and find a way to make it appeal to an audience, it's not the same as going to ride your bike with your friends purely for the passion and fun of riding. Obviously, Brian's outlet for the foreseeable future appears to be working to develop his land. Your viewership will max out at some point based solely on the number of mountain bikers who have an interest in watching other people ride mountain bikes. At that saturation point, you have to branch out to grow viewership, and while I understand that is the only means of increasing income and quality of life, there's still that risk of losing the core group of viewers. My impression is...he has been traveling for several years now, and the obligation of the "50 State Shred" probably burned him out, and he's ready to be stationary for a while. I don't blame him...I HATE traveling after years of doing it for work. He's engaged (maybe married by now?), and my guess is they will do some traveling, but nothing like what he did in the past. Maybe i"m wrong...we'll see. One thing I will give Brian, is that he's going to call it like he sees it. If the product sucks, it's going to come out...sponsorship be darned. Same with Seth. But the full video ads like this one...won't keep my interest. I call it like it I see it too, and I also get it that no one probably cares what I think. You have a nice day as well!

If you angle the panels to the latitude you are on and face that to the south you will get more out of your panel from Autumn through Spring. judging by the angle of your shadow that should be around 40-45 degrees.

I think a feature batteries like this need are individually controllable outlets. Say you have a few different light plugged in, it would be nice to be able to toggle them on and off with the app or something. Most of these have a button that just turns all of the outlets on or off. Obviously this doesn't work for all things you would plug in but for those string lights and things like that it would be a nice option. This one be nice in a van where you want to turn your lights off when going to sleep but still want the fridge running etc.

Was considering one of these for my van build instead of the complex wiring system that charges off the van or solar mounted to the roof. My van build will be more of a 'weekender' and it also serves as a mobile office for my roof inspection gig so I think this is a great alternative to the wiring/battery bank systems I was contemplating.

At my local trail system we are a county park with power but the trail maintenance containers are too far away to run power from the grid for our budget. We currently use solar charged lights in the containers and solar flood lights outside. We use Honda generators to charge our tool batteries when we use them. Price still needs to come down to make the upgrade to solar justifiable.

I just got my Bluetti AC200P on Aug. 31st. It is not reading wattage correctly amoung other things. Max Oak has just been giving me the run around. They keep having me make videos of the issues. Sometimes it will not show that there is any wattage being dispersed and when it does show wattage when I use more wattage it says that I am using less. I was very excited about getting one of these and when I seen that it was messed up I just thought " no big deal, they will just have to replace it." WRONG!!! They are not being cool about this at all.
