I'm Spanish. In Spain and other parts, some Saints are dark because a very few were black like San Martín de Porres and that's probably what you saw, and because of a certain artistic style and Saints were after The Bible. Some Africans wanted to be Catholic. Other than that, the rest of images is not. Africans have a sense of belonging everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Also, people are praying to the white Jesus or are Muslims, Hindus or Buddhists, and their prayers are being answered, healings, prosperity, peace and joy, especially among the whites, Asians and Arabs, while black people continue to suffer all over the world although we pray and live in the church. I would have to disagree. Look at the story of the Syro-phonecian woman. She's Greek. Greeks believed they were better than dark skinned people and their gods told them so. Out of the 37 miracles (37 in greek is a key;-) - This was the only miracle that Jesus outright refused. Look at the dialog. Jesus explicitly addresses her white supremacy. Other areas? This is the reason why I've been looking for the Ethiopian Bible in English. The Bible, as it is, was altered and the "scholars" had eliminated books under the guise that "they did not follow the 'canon' of Christ." They are compiled into what is called an apocrypha and are not taught or spoken about. They were and still are lying to us. The later versions of the Bible, including KJV, are not complete and had whole sections eliminated. We need to read the Ethiopian Bible WITH those missing books intact.
