Thanks for the great video man! Also, the sensor distance is probably that close so they aren’t turning on and off on you all the time when you’re using the countertop or cooking.

Glad you enjoyed it! Yea actually that thing surpassingly stuck great. I think it fell off once maybe and I just pressed it back on and it hasn’t moved since. It’s gotta be a year atleast off the top of my head, so I don’t think it’s going anywhere. I’d love to link a second one over at my coffee bar area, but I don’t have hidden outlets on that side.

Was hoping to find a solution to my issue 🤣 I see you had the same issue I am having?! Linking the Alexa! For whatever reason I can't get my red light to pairing mode and have tried a zillion times! Unplugging, replugging etc... Ive tried watching the lighting issue but again its not detailed at all 💔

There must be a small window of opportunity to perform this step. It’s been awhile since I watched the video, but I may have fully unplugged it and tried again as soon as it powered on to get it working. I’d call black and decker for support thpugh

Can you tell me where did you get the Jumper spool. It seems like B&D don;t sell at their site and Amazon is selling $30 for 25ft. Are there any alternates available?

I got it from Amazon. Pretty sure if my memory is correct that $30 sounds accurate. No alternatives since it is proprietary connection type

Can you tell us more about that microwave?

Yes, it is a Whirlpool WML75011HZ. Best deal I found was at BestBuy. I think it was $499 and I got a $10 rewards from the purchase. There is a mode lower for $50 less.

What if you want to control /manage The lights by App or manual switch? Is there a different kit you buy if you don't want the Alexa control kit???

No way to control from a regular light switch. You can get the non Alexa version for like -$40 that just has the motion sensitive switch I showed in this video.

Do u like this better than the led strips?? Also can they be turned off a d on with control remote instead of sensor and do they have color?

Yes I like this better than led strips because those never stick properly and terrible quality. They always burn out leds. They do not come with a remote. These only have 3-4 temperature settings. These are not rgb.

@@futbol1972 I have not had any issues with them at all. This actually drove a full smart lighting upgrade and smart switches because I like the concept winces so much. The one I added on the microwave has stuck perfectly as well.

My opinion, rgb lights are kind of kiddie. You have to do them in a certain way to pull them off as classy. Colored lights would not look right in my kitchen. If it was white and modern, possibly

I believe I used this support site to get me further. It was a real pain in the ass to get these synced. I think pure optics is the actual manufacturer for these and they were branded as Black and Decker. Maybe a division of B&D? pureopticsled.com/smart-under-cabinet-lighting-help

How do you get it in blinking mode?

I had to look up the blink codes on the site. I believe once you unplug it and replug, it goes back into sync mode for a min or 2

How did to lengthen the 108-inch cord? I measured and mine will be over the 108 as well

I do not recall the specifics of the video as it’s been awhile, but the 108” cable worked fine for me. I just routed a shorter path I believe.

What size drill bit did you use to make the holes??

I just sized it up as best I could with the size of the adapter. I think it was a 31/64 bit i used

You said get it to blinking mode without explaining how. That is no help. B and D tech said to push and hold both buttons to get led light to cut off and red indicator to blink and start finf mode. Nothing seems to work. B and D said some controllers just don't link up and they will send a new controller. Junk.

You have to hold the power button for some period of time to get it blinking to get into pairing mode. These certainly are not easy to deal with. I changed my wireless network since this video and was an absolute nightmare to get linked back up

That Alexa stuff is just crap! Will these lights just go on and off with a switch? There's no need to have these lights on unless you are working in the kitchen. I have a switch in my hood vent over the stove that I could use to turn the lights on and off. Very simple. I don't want to talk to Alexa to turn the lights on or off. I just want to do a simple thing, flip a switch on or off myself, for the lights..

You must not have kids then? Lol. I went the Alexa route because I have kids that forget the lights on all the time and it annoys me. Also I set sequences to turn on certain ambient lights at sundown so I do not come home to a pitch black house. That being said, just don’t get the Alexa version and get the basic one and save like $30 You would need to wire your lights into that hood vent switch though and hope the amperage of the switch can handle the extra load.

@@PMPerformance You know I had a smartphone for 3 years a Motorola and then a Samsung. The battery went out in 6 months and they glue the phone together and battery into the phone. You can't change it unless you heat the phone up! Also I hated that Dexter feature that Samsung had. So I went back to a flip phone. This smart stuff is just complicating life. Kids don't turn on lights in the kitchen under cabinet lighting anyhow. Even if the lights are left on, they are LED lights, so you will lose very little power. And when this smart stuff begins to fail, and it will, you will pull your hair out trying to fixing it,,,,,,,,,,,,

@@ddyeo503 I won’t because I am technical by trade. If you are not tech savvy though, yea deff don’t get smart features If you don’t need Alexa, save the $30 and get the basic unit
