@@chocolateangel8743 if Black you mean brown, yeah plenty...Most Indians are like a caramel skin tone...in Kerala Their usually have a darker complexion and gorgeous...In the bigger cities and in the mountains their more of a fair skintone...Indians who live around Rajasthan, like in the desert are sooo beautiful and also a darker skintone...And futher up the mountains they tend to look more East Asian...But if you mean like black as roots in Africa, yeah but not that many....There was Africans brought here as soldiers and guards for the royal family generations ago...but their descendants still live in India and consider themselves Indian but have held onto some of their African heritage...they usually live near Kerala... And have distinct features...I haven't been able to make my way over there because that area of India has been really really strict and kind of closed off to foreigners at the moment but is now slowly reopening...Hope I get to go soon, cause I've head so many good things...But India in itself is very diverse.

True the media skewks things and makes it come across in a way thats maybe not too appealing but tbh, India is extremely diverse contrary to what the media says, there sre many developed areas that are more than happy to welcome anyone. Its all about where you go and who you know. I’ve been going to India for years and all I’m going to say is dont fall easily for what the media says.

It is definitely NOT a place to travel of late I wouldn't advise anyone to travel here. It's one of the most unsafe place for women in the world. Google it. I have read in news of countless cases where foreign travellers were gang raped. It's a common plight for the usual Indian women anyway. Robberies and thefts are no surprise either. The condition of lodging and conveyance are also quite sad. The current mood in the country of general mysogyny doesn't help either if at all one is harassed in any way and goes to the authorities for help. Please be aware and beware before setting foot.

Just like anywhere in the world there are places that are nice and places we shouldn't go. I live in the US and there are definitely places i would never go as I would fear for my safety and feeling welcome. Like traveling anywhere, we have to do our research. I personally don't have a desire to go to India but my Grand Aunt (may her soul rest in peace) lived in India when she was young and she adopted Neo Hinduism alongside her Christianity. When I was young she even took us regularly to neo Hindu worship. She loved her time in India.

Funny you only hear these things from people who have never been India. Just one visit and it will become your one of the fevorite country out there It's one of the most diverse country with highly tech friendly cities to sacred cities. It's just ignorance and racism that make people say controversial things like these I recommend you to watch or listen foreigners who actually lived in India for more than one year and then form your opinion. You have to be here and you will be. I am saying this confidence than india is much better than racist stereotypical view and growing really fast.
