Thank you to those of you have made suggestions about removing the lamp post from one of the photos - I have poped a comment in the community tab with the new edit where the lamp post has been taken out.

Clouds would normalise the images. But I prefer the uncanny feeling that the clear skies bring. Also, the busy details of the building would be competing with a busy sky.

At around the 3:30 mark he said 13 stops using a combination of a #10 and a #3.

On one shot I used a 13 stop and for the other a 16 stop. In both cases it was two filters combined together (10 +3 and 10+6).

Thank you for sharing the technique for these pictures. The second picture is the best composition in my opinion. Also, for the 1st one, would you consider using the gen AI features in photoshop to remove the lamp post? It is smack in the middle of your frame and a tad distracting. Just a thought.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I did consider removing the lamp post and i agree it’s not helping the composition. The main reason I didn’t is because there is some lettering on the building- the name of the apartment block and photoshop would have struggled to put in a letter. I could put this in as text of course and try to match the other letters . - now you have got me thinking! Maybe i will give a go. 😅

Or maybe you could just remove all the lettering It’s a fine art image so anything goes Striking building and nice processing. The blue sky helps create a nice contrast and makes it stand out

@@keithsaint8829 Thanks for the comment! Yeah, the blue sky really makes it pop, and that's a good solution for dealing with the lettering. It's always interesting to get another perspective
