Enjoyed those foreground grasses shots James. Reminded me of your cotton grass work of a few years back. Very nice

Every day's a good day for black and white photography 😊😊 lovely shots as always, i always leave my previsual set to black and white so i know straight away what i need to do

Thanks Christine. Indeed you are correct and especially effective when the blue skies make an appearance. The monochrome profile definitely helps 👍👍

I'm enjoying going from street / urban to natural landscapes, it keeps things interesting. BnW certainly work so much better than colour in these overcast conditions, and you've captured some lovely images Sir.

Cheers Simon. It certainly keeps the mojo keeping strong. Agree, feel BW is the way forward for the fells

Some lovely clouds and mood, like the transition from fells to lowlands. I’ve been shooting trees in black and white for sometime, over exposing the trees makes for exciting images. A large bagful of keepers and deep dark mood! As always a pleasure to watch, thanks spud 😁👍

Not being from the UK it caught my attention when the (presumably public) path went through a (presumably private) farm. Here in the US there would typically be either a "no trespassing" sign and a likely locked gate and / or an alternate path around the private property. If I was a property owner in a scenic area I might think differently, but it strikes me as nice the way private property doesn't automatically block access to scenic areas (I guess it's a case of give-and-take). And this is definitely scenic -- I was thinking as the video started, "I can't imagine having access to such scenery... wow!" 🙂 I'm about 300-400 miles away from anything scenic, at best.
@JamesRBurnsVLOG4 ай бұрын
There’s quite a number of dedicated public paths that run through farms in the area, often going through the heart of the farm to allow full view of the livestock. Makes for an interesting walk. Thanks for watching. 300-400? Wow. Im literally 50m

Wonderful images. Did you shoot JPEG+Raw and then process the raw images into B&W or use the JEPGs to start from? I like the high contrast profiles.
@JamesRBurnsVLOG4 ай бұрын
Just set to monochrome profile so I get a good idea of the BW and shoot only RAW and process to JPEG using a preset I’ve made in process. Cheers 👍👍
