Hi Donna, I have to let you know that I have been your fan since around 2005 when I discovered PC. I have ALL your books, even books that others write and include your work! I see you as a celebrity and if I ever had a chance in life to pick one celebrity to meet, it would be you, for real! Your work is remarkable, everything you create is amazing to me and I feel so blessed to be able to view your tutorials on KZbin, THANK YOU for sharing and providing such wonderful inspiration!!!

I don't know if anyone has commented about the mystery ball point tool yet... I think it's a tool printmakers use to polish small areas on copper plates used in etchings/intaglio. The handle is so large because a good amount of pressure has to be applied. Fascinating how many uses there are for tiny metal balls on a stick!
@aldonagrinius63111 ай бұрын
Interesting comment. ..to me it looks like a Gerry rigged contraption, as though someone took a dapping punch used for forming half spheres of metal and put it into the end of a handle used for metal files...Both explanations make sense to me....

Awesome tutorial! Your mystery tool is most likely a fabric or suede beading punch meant to make a divot without cutting the material.

Love watching your tutorials, and love the classy black and white designs. But I know me. I did a beautiful set of black and white earrings using the Sutton slice, but looked at them and said, “I’ll never wear those!” After applying some chalk pastels, I now wear them all the time. And I watched this thinking “what color could those snakes be?”

Your mystery tool could actually be some kind of welding or heat application tool someone added a handle to to change its use. Or even for leather but I don't know if someone would hammer the end unless with lite rubber mallot.

Hmm, sounds reasonable. How did I get it???? A mystery.

Donna…beautiful simple little cane! Question….can the conditioning bar or your black out product be used with other brands of polymer clay? The craft stores in my rural area don’t carry Kato and shipping is so expensive these days that I just have to buy what I can find. But…. if I have a bunch of clay (premo mostly) that could benefit the conditioning bar etc., I might invest in the shipping cost to save my clay! Lol.
@DonnaKatoArt11 ай бұрын
Donita, yes, it can be but it does soften clay so you have to be cautious if your clay is very soft to begin with. If your clay is old and advanced, it’d work really well. ❤️

When I was purchasing the clay that I have I didn’t buy much black clay (2 oz to be exact) because I didn’t think I would use black very often… HOW WRONG WAS I 😂 I now need to order myself some large blocks of black and another large block of white. From the side it looked like a guitar fret board :)
