Hi Donna. It's eye-opening to see that with just black and white colors, you can create something beautiful by just playing with the patterns. Gorgeous patterns, by the way. And your bloopers actually liven up your video. They tell me you're just human, a comical one, but still a very good teacher!

Hello Mrs. Donna! I recently watched your Mud Cane video (and loved it!). As I look at the beginning of this video, I see the "X's". I paused and tried to remember how to make the Mud Cane one. I could not. No worries. I am learning! And I love learning! I am at the 2 minute mark! Thank you!!! Blessings and Re Jouir -Darlene p.s. I, too, wear black...

There are so many things I appreciate about your videos and the generosity of knowledge & artistry you share with us. But my favorite bit of knowledge today is that even the fabulous Donna Kato has to contend with cat hair (the bane of my existence, but oh my goodness they are worth it).

Donna, you are so relaxing to watch. I am so glad I found out that you have this channel. It brings me back to the VHS tape days from Mindstorm Productions. I had little kids at the time and was always exhausted. But I'd put on your videos when I had a moment to myself, lie down on the couch, and watch you make things. I dozed off quite a lot, if I'm being honest, but I watched the tapes often enough that I eventually saw the whole thing. You're just such a relaxing presence! 😁 I was reminded of those days while watching this one because it sometimes sounded like ocean waves in the background. I had to fight the urge to take a nap. I am so relaxed right now, lol! Thanks, Donna, for everything you share so freely! 💕

Hi Lisa! Mindstorm! Oh, my that was a long time ago, kid. I have been putting folks to sleep for decades! I am good at it! So glad to hear from you. The kids must be big now. Take good care of yourself. Hugs, D❤️

I would have pulled all my hair out trying to work out the square that way! I think I would have used a square cutter to do the marking or does that not work? Love your work though!

I really like how this one turned out. It is like a trellis. I know you have shown reducing in many of your videos and I understand the process, but what I would like to know is how long did it take you to go from the initial cane to the stretched out cane?
@DonnaKatoArt10 ай бұрын
I wish I could recall, kid. I take my time reducing and so I think I am slower than others might be…❤️
