Ingredients:
Flour: 300 g
Powdered sugar: 300 g
Baking soda: 1 tablespoon
Vegetable oil: 200 ml
Kefir: 250 g
Milk: 500 ml
Eggs: 10 pcs.
Cognac or vodka: 2 tablespoons
Preparation Description:
Combine all dry ingredients: flour, powdered sugar, and baking soda.
Add vegetable oil and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the kefir and stir well until smooth.
Gradually add milk, continuously stirring.
Whip the eggs into a foam that should double in volume.
Carefully combine the egg foam with the batter, add cognac or vodka to neutralize the soda smell.
Tightly cover the baking dish with a lid or foil.
Bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit) for 1.5 hours, then reduce the temperature to 100 degrees Celsius (212 degrees Fahrenheit) and bake for another 1.5 hours.
After baking, do not open the oven; allow the cake to cool down inside for one hour, ideally five hours.
