I don't think so and it would be very risky to try. The three or more point turns would probably cause you to jackknife. I'm pretty sure they don't allow trailers but i could be wrong. I would suggest camping somewhere close to the trail head like Ironton Park so you can leave your trailer at the site and run Black bear, then run Imogene and have a short drive back to Ironton Park. 👍

The greatest danger at the steps on Black Bear Pass comes from trying to stay farther passenger (right) than is necessary. The turquoise Jeep demonstrated well how staying too far right (panicking about the visual of the valley below instead of the trail in front of you) will kick your Jeep left towards the drop off. The grey and silver Jeeps stay farther driver (left) and roll down without and kick to the left.

Wow. Thank you for the exceptional video. Another Hoosier here. I really appreciated hand holding the camera with a gimbal and walking much of the video footage. It gave a great perspective of the terrain people drive on. Unfortunately, it is so difficult to really appreciate the steepness because wide angle lenses obscure it, but the walking footage works better to showcase the rugged terrain. At first I was impressed the Mercedes GLK made it, then saw the blown out (street) tires and oil pan caption. That sucks, but the driver should have heeded the warnings and known better. The worst part of it is the spilled oil polluting the ground. The huge inconvenience for the driver to have it towed out is just that - inconvenient. The Tellurde Outside safari(?) truck was interesting. It appeared to be just a short wheelbase Silverado chassis with a safari bed attached. What more remarkable is its "normal" street truck tires - no necessarily off-road or mud terrain tires - on steelies. Do they even have locking differential(s), or just open ones? Regardless, I'm impressed with its capability, although a good portion of this is the driver.

Thanks Melvin and it's nice talking to another Hoosier. I walked a lot on this trip and my legs let me know it. 😂 You are totally right about the video not showing the steepness of the terrain. Being at that elevation my lungs let me know it too! The Safari style truck did great. These trails are not difficult but they are scary to some and they require good ground clearance and four wheel drive. I don't know if he has locking diffs but I guessing he would have a rear LSD at a minimum. Doesn't hurt that the driver of the truck knows the terrain and the truck like the back of his hand.
