Hi guys Yamaha have sorted you out well , one of the worst things in auto electrical work is following the mess someone’s done before you , cutting splicing etc , and all for 2000 baht , it’s so reasonable for any kind of work here , I think it’s better to use the dealerships than the guys around town , I use Toyota for everything on my pickup, when I get it serviced they give me all the old filters except oil and fuel as they dispose of those but my air filter and cabin filter plus all the boxes they came in and the empty oil can , locals sell all this as recycling it just makes sense to get it done by the dealership, hope you get lots more use and fun in the future, Regards Davy 🏴🇹🇭

Yea, I feel the same way. The guy that wired my lights came highly recommended in HuaHin. Yamaha dealer has been very good to us and Black Betty is happy again. 😁

OMG i hate electrical problems on vehicles...it is usually due to running a wire to close to a pinch point or not putting a service loop where it runs close to a moving part and will rub against metal and finally short out and it usually in an area you can't see or is hard to get too. Sounds like they got you all dialed in. Good video as always!

Yes that was the problem and they fixed it. Black Betty is happy again. 😁

Hello Mike and Nicole, since you will be in PKK for many more years and will be in Thailand for many more years of yours retirement, I really think that you should ditch the Black Betty and get one of those new Toyota Champion Truck for $12,000. It has AC and air bags for the both of you, and can carry in the back a scooter if you have to drive to Pattaya for a couple of weeks and want to use a scooter instead of a truck. It is just my humble opinion, but Thailand is just too hot to be riding around in a non-air conditioned vehicle. The Toyota Champion Truck is what I would be buying for myself if I was to live in Thailand. I just wish I can buy one in America right now for $12,000.

Good suggestion. Toyota is a reliable brand and $12,000 is a bargain compared to any car in the State. I may visit Thailand soon.

We may look for a car or truck soon as it gives us more options to do things. Black Betty is pulling her weight right now though.

Thanks for watching. We love it here in Thailand.

@@JourneyswithMN It seems like this year had been one thing with BB or another. For some reasons Bobby does like to chew up BB and you guys are always getting ready to do a lighting upgrade or mechanical upgrade/fix on BB. She seems not as carefree to own as maybe a little Toyota truck or car. If it was me living in Thailand, I would invests in one of the new little Toyota Champion Truck with AC, Air Bags, and ABS Breaks instead of a little Chinese's car or a Black Betty. The Champion Truck would allows me so much more transportation options than other 2 wheels, 3 wheels, or 4 wheels vehicles. I hope you makes the right transportation decision for the two of you.

You are probably right, or maybe more. Labor rates are very affordable here.
