After watching this video a few weeks ago I decided I needed a black blazer. During my search for the blazer I found two others-a black/white houndstooth blazer and a black/white tweed. So of course I bought all three! I wore the houndstooth check today with a black turtleneck, scarf, black jeans, and black ankle boots. I felt great! I haven’t worn structured jackets since retiring from my law career 3 years ago and had forgotten how much I love blazers. The structure is perfect to camouflage my apple tummy. I work part-time now as a substitute teacher and was afraid I would be over-dressed today ( the other teachers are VERY casual) but I felt great. Next week I’ll try the tweed and the black. ❤️

Great outfits again! I never thought of the white lace blouse, it looks perfect and makes me think outside the box. But I am partial to purple and this outfit inspires me to add a good purple shirt to my style list. I love all the outfits Marie-Anne! I can't even remember how many times I've worn my black blazer, the cost per wear is probably 12 cents! A great accent color for me is deep red, so I'm glad I've bought some red heels that I could wear with my jeans, black blazer and, say a white or black blouse! I just ordered a Harve Bernard black blazer from ThredUP (new with tags). I chose a single breast because I am short waisted. I love blazers so much, I only started wearing them last summer but they've become one of my favorite things to wear (when it's not -16 celcius outide like it is in Norway right now). I actually have two blazers now, a dark blue and a beige, both of which are very versatile colors for me, and they give me very different looks. I think black blazers look amazing and classy on you and so many others, but since I know black looks a bit harsh on me when I wear it close too my face I knew it wasn't the best choice for me. The Le Décontracté look is definitely my favorite of these as I wear jeans at least 90% of the time!

Bonsoir, Marie-Anne. Past 10:00 pm here. My ABSOLUTE favorite is your "hosting" lavalliere off-white blouse (that you unboxed in the video I watched yesterday) in which you look so adorable! XD The purple color didn't come thru until circa 8:55 when the lighting changed. (It comes thru as cobalt blue before, on my screen, so I was wondering "violet"?!) 🙃 Your first outfit and Le Sexy would be my favorite on you, even though you rock it all. Your "Le Bureau" is a huge no-no in California: jeans are forbidden! (Unless "casual Friday".) Can you believe that?! Casual Southern California says no to jeans! Most offices will make you go home and change. One time I went to a job interview (receptionist, small office) in jeans; I was in transition, I had nothing else to wear, I was so nervous! Thankfully, it was dark and my jeans were black, LOL and I got the job! XD (Yes, they are THAT insane, but I was dressed very well, monochrome black with a turtleneck and matching booties and blazer, whew!) Otherwise, I got my eye on your silver flat mocassins in the background. Love them! XD

I love your intro! Each of the different styles arranged around this blazer were awesome! Every one was spot on. Timeless, elegant, and some edge thrown in there-the second to last ensemble- loved that look. You can totally wear the sexy look with your legs! Great pins! I love all the outfits. So much inspiration. I love the blazer look. However, being big busted I often worry about the look. Then I struggle with do I go black or navy. I have a white blazer for summer outfits and it’s single breasted. But not managed a black blazer. I also received a brown blazer for Christmas. Karen, If the brown blazer you got for Christmas is one of your "best" colors, better on you than black is, then you have the piece to build your outfits around! Some of us look better in a good neutral brown. (If my makeup isn't just exactly right, then I look "DEAD" in black!😖) You may ready have some of the needed pieces that will work! Good luck! 😊

The first look and the second were my favorites. Specially the second. That’s the perfect definition for sexy, and no one can do it better than the French. Here most ladies mistake sexy with vulgarity and that’s a big difference. One looks elegante and suggestive, the other is disgusting and...cheap. One of my very first lessons of style was at 17 for my high school graduation, the double breasted blazer were trendy back in the 80’s. I wanted one for my ball night as all my friends. But the taylor told me something I never forgot. Double breasted blazers come and go. Single ones don’t. Stick to something you will always be able to wear and look classic and comfortable. Pieces that come and go are not a good investment for your wardrobe. And another thing, always keep a black blazer and even better, a black suit. They will always be there for you! Lesson learned and applied every single day ever since!

In my life style, i appear in decontracte style. Very useful for a smart iutfit at work . The only adjastment is that i tuck my hair behind the head the spanish style,, because my face looks well like this, and i wear my miniature round metal earrings. And of course, my red lipstick. Hi Marie-Anne! Well believe it or not (your camera was in my closet as usual) I bought two double breasted blazers last month - a navy and black - they are Balmain inspired so the waist is pinched in, the two rows of buttons are centered at the waist with the front flaps angled at the bottom, and the look is quite flattering! I usually wear a single breasted blazer with one button to emphasize my relatively small waist, but fell in love with the double breasted look. These looks of yours are fabulous and I have worn some versions of all of them! And I’m happy to see your torso stand back - As you know you inspired me to buy one and I use it all the time to choose my outfits. You look wonderful as always and enjoyed seeing you model! 😘❤️

I think our closets have a lot in common - we both buy high quality, classic items with a bit of a twist and love each one - I had some regret purchases over the years, but as my style evolved, I “curated” my closet, planned out my purchases, and still have many of of my favourite things. I did give some clothes away as they no longer fit the new shape of a 65 year old 😉, and some got worn out from all that love and had to go, but most still fit and look quite good! 😘

Marie-Anne, Hi from Texas. My favorite was with the blue buttoned shirt and shiny black boots... ankle boots? But I also loved the casual look with navy Converse! I was a bit surprised it looked so chic! Now a question: how can you go anywhere with such a thin bag? Exactly WHAT do you carry in it? What about those of us who need expensive Rx glasses, regular & sunglasses to SEE? And a couple of emergency items? I've carried a stripped down bag to Court, but I just stuck in business cards, lipstick, folded paper cash, a pen, 2 bandaids. Phone in outer pocket. And I prayed for no emergencies! Help!!?? 🥴♥️
