I actually fucked around with Parley today and once i figured out how it works it was quite fun. The improvement to game speed is a game changer, the 1.0 version looks unbearable

Hmm would be cool if you did a video series on the cut content or planned content for 1.0 like the cut classes and planned classes to be added. As well as the skills that were in 1.0 but didn't survive into 2.0 or were changed completely. Things that affect the players and such. Just like how arcanists originally were going to be in 1.0 but we had to wait till 2.0 and they had different designs and such same as the musketeers etc Love your videos either way :)

So, in some aspects, 2.0 is a direct sequence to the events shown on 1.0, but in others, isnt? Because i had a dejavu with that paladin quest Kkkkkk.

all the job quests were the same storylines as 1.0, however the main scenario quests and almost all other side content (including class quests before you start the job quests) were unique to 1.0, and referenced in 2.0 in many places. So it's a sequel for the majority, but since the job quests were added so late into the game they kept and adapted the same stories from 30-50 for ARR.

I'm curious....how are you able to access the 1.0 game? Did you happen to just record everything you did back then, or is there some unofficial version of it somewhere?

There are newer private server structures of 1.0 in development currently. Before 2015, there was the Seventh Umbral servers that were used, but it hasn't been updated in years. These usually didn't have much to them, but you could walk around the zones, teleport and stuff.

Yes. There are three. All unlocked by doing the hildibrand quests. Also, Gold Saucer has the gathering mode from 1.0 as mini-games. They're near the chocobo race and verminion counters.

I played 2.0 Parley and figured it out real quick. Really friekin easy tbh.

Man, did the locations before look drab and boring. Just so plain and uninteresting for the most part. They really did an amazing job with the rework in ARR, didn't they?

I mean Parley sucked in the 1.0 days mainly because of the tediousness and lag. However, it's honestly it's not terrible as this video makes it sound, I think Lukile is overreacting a bit. However, I think he's just in character a lot... >_>

I think it would be horrible if we were forced to do it to progress in the game, which was how it used to be, hence why so many people hate it now. But right it's a little minigame I usually like to play when there's nothing else to do and I'm waiting in queues lol

can't tell you how popular the old 1,0 gathering mini games are 9in Gold saucer, on a good day you see a small crowd around them
