I've read the manga, so let me explain. Tanaka is one of their original butler, (almost certain) and knew that the manor was burned down. (the original ciel, aka the twin) went down to go check on something because he heard screams. Before you knew it ciel (the one we've all known) went down and realized that his parents were burning, i forgot the rest, but i do know that the reason ciel, (the one we know) faked his name was because he felt like he wasn't good enough and he wanted to live the title of his lost twin brother.

Honestly this Ciel pisses me off. The good Ciel's outburst in Lau's den a few chapters after is how I feel about this. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if a final conflict ensues between The Undertaker with the Midfords and Ciel's underworld army with the reapers perhaps being a neutral but focusing on the undertaker.

Well based on all the research i’ve been doing it seems as if Undertaker or shall i say Adrian Crevan is actually the grandfather to Ciel(Twin) and Astre(Our) and the father to Vincent although the only reason(theory) why he revived the dead aka made bizarre dolls was because the real bad guy in the anime was the queen herself she was the one who told ash/angela (i assume) to set the manor into flames therefore killing the heir and his with along with the dog and a theory goes on that he made bizarre dolls so he can revive someone he loved like Claudia Phantomhive since on his chain thingy was the information on all those he truely cared for and lost and having one for C.P aka Claudia Phantomhive and plus i read on some theory websites that Undertaker absolutely hates the queen to the point where he doesn’t want her money and in my case they reason why he asks for laughter is because he is depressed :D and cannot truely laugh *COUGH* too far ok so technically he is really the good guy >3> but not really since if you read the manga all the way up to volume 27 to volume 28 its pretty clear to see that the cover of V27 is “Ciel Phantomhive” and to that point is where TwinCiel takes over EEEEE im going too far but in result to what i said he’s pretty much a good guy Untiiillll this volume UnU smh

The Undertaker took his body and revived him as a bizarre doll. His reasoning was that he could not bare to lose another Phantomhive. It has been speculated that The Undertaker is Vincent Phantomhive's father. He owned a necklace with Claudia's (Vincent's mother) hair in it. He cried over seeing a picture of Vincent. Then reviving the twin, it makes sense to believe he is the twins grandfather.

I personally believe that both of their motives are completely valid, with the real Ciel, on one hand, is in the right mind to have the desire to be with his brother again and turns things back to the way it was and as for our Ciel, his concern over his goal for revenge being hindered is understandable; But, even though, I empathize with both of them, I admit that I don't understand as to why does our Ciel proceed to hold a vendetta against his twin. What happened is the Ciel we know from the beginning, Our Ciel, is actually not Ciel Phantomhive but his little bro. (the one who had asthma when he was little). Ciel is "died" in the voodoo ritual which the twins attended (they were kidnapped the day of their birthday). When Ciel died, our Ciel invoked the demon and presented himself to Sebastian as Ciel Phantomhive, the heir of the Phantomhive family (which is a lie). He did this because he had low self-esteem and he was afraid of the reaction of his family (aunt anne, elizabeth, etc) if he returned as "the sick little brother who was useless" and said "Ciel is dead, I am the only one who survived." Only Sebastian and Tanaka were aware that Ciel was not Ciel. Now the Real Ciel Phantomhive is hated by a lot of fans, which is partly normal, but I don’t think he’s mean or vicious. He just wants to be with his little brother like before. Even if he seems a little obsessed with his brother and it's sound weird. Maybe it's a Yandere, I hope not lmao Sorry for my bad english...
